Brietbart posted a highly edited clip of a video without doing any kind of research. This resulted in false accusations of racism against Ms. Sherrod. This is basic journalism. Why did Brietbart fail to pick up the phone and contact Sherrod for her side of the story before publication? Did he try to find the full video? NO! Did Brietbart try to track down the white farmers and get their side of the story? No! Why not? It's obvious, he didn't care about the truth. Look at him now trying to spin this story and refusing to take responsibility for defaming Ms. Sherrod. The farmers have gone out of their way to speak up for Ms. Sherrod. They say that Sherrod spent years working to help them and consider her their friend. This was "gotcha journalism" at its worst. It's also a disgusting display of refusal to take responsibility.
