Every Girl Blog : Hockey: Every Girl's Perfect Sport

Like Sarah, I've grown up in Pittsburgh and as such always had the Pens around. I think hockey's the sport I love most, even more than football (which is a bit of sacrilege, coming from a Pittsburgher) because, like you said, it's always fast and intense. Now I'm living in one of the countries of hockey, Sweden, and I love it that when I say where I'm from, people will know my boys, the Pens!

Oh god, I know! I just absolutely love the Pens, but their comeback strategy, while great, is not conducive for my heart. ;)

Every Girl Blog : 2010 Reading Challenge

Having followed your challenge the last few years, I think I'm going to take it up, but in a different way. My goal will be to read 50 books in Swedish, by Swedish authors if possible. What do you think?

Every Girl Blog : Spotlight on: Pittsburgh

Oh wow. I do so love seeing what people choose to write about the 'Burgh! I think you definitely hit the highlights, though there's still so much more one can talk about, especially for cool places to visit in the city. I'm a big fan of the museums (Carnegie Art and Natural History, the Science Center, the Children's Museum), and I'm glad you mentioned the Warhol, though I haven't been there yet. Also, poor Pirates. :( Speaking of the 'Burgh, I've got two weeks left until I come home! We are totally hanging out sometime.

Every Girl Blog : An Introduction To Online Dating

Oooh, Online Dating. I've never given "official" online dating a try, despite the fact that I met my now-fiancé online. This should be an interesting read!

It makes me feel good, too. Of course, she also keeps trying to get milk out of my bathrobe every morning, so... **shrugs** It's really cute when she sometimes decides that we've slept too long and will start cleaning our faces to wake us up.

Every Girl Blog : Pets: Girls' Best Friends

I have my very first pet just now, Cissi. She's not much over a year old, and we got her kind of by accident. My fiancé's good friend, M, got Cissi as a kitten, but then she became suddenly allergic to her and couldn't keep her. M wanted to make sure that Cissi went to somewhere she'd be loved, so Erik and I talked it over and we took her. She's an absolute doll most of the time, as much as she wakes me up in the middle of the night scratching at the closet doors/climbing on the drying rack/clawing at the suitcase. But then sometimes she'll come cuddle with me in bed in the morning, lying on my chest and just purring.
