Your response fits the bill of otak pusing_II's para 3 description of UMNO-BN coterie who have nothing to learn from anywhere. If you have lived in Sri Lanka or visited there AND kept your wits with you, you would have quickly realised the vast similarities between our two countries, not least the endemic corruption, the religious and ethnic based politics, the unjust economic and educational handicaps placed on the minority ethnic groups, particularly the Tamils, the plundered resource wealth, etc. The politics of Sri Lanka bear great similarity tothe politicsof malaysia, that it would bear the question if one has chosen the other as its role model.

Post-Mortem, Studies, Con-Sultants. Hours of meetings, plates of goreng pisang,kuih lapis and cold milk tea,and thousands of senior consultant man-hours X 2.5 X fudged salary . Has anyone read the mountains of reports from studies produced over the years? and done anything about it?
Next time it will be a once in a 10,000 year event!

Mahathir does this intentionally. His verbal gymnastics keeps the Malay masses in a constant state of paranoia and frenzy, and take their emotions out on the non-malays who are used as a proxy for the Jews.
