What the hell is the deal with all these Republican governors going around and cheating on their wives...don't we have enough problems to deal with. How I long for the days when being in public office required you to have some moral character.

I just finished What Has Government Done To Our Money by Murry N. Rothard. The entire text is available for free at http://www.mises.org/books/whathasgovernmentdone.... This book is on Ron Paul's suggested reading list. Check it out, yet another eye opening book.

FRIDAY, JUNE 19, 2009 ANNA WILLEMS WROTE:

Please pray for my older sister Vee and her husband Aaron Rodgerson. Aaron was just arrested a few hours ago. It's a long story that some of you know already, but for the sake of everyone else.....

My brother-in-law is the pastor of a small church in Kirksville MO. A few weeks ago social workers came in and took custody of a 10 month old baby Alethia whose dad is the assistant pastor. They were accused of child abuse because their daughter weighed only 12 pounds. She was otherwise completely healthy. She was taken away from her parents and put into a hospital where all kinds of tests were done to see wht was wrong with her. All the tests showed that she was a normal baby who just happened to be small. They would not accept that and so were forcibly tube feeding Alethia to make her gain weight. She actually LOST weight while in the hospital--the poor baby was only allowed to be with her parents for 1 hour a day and ONLY if a social worker was present. They were giving her so much that she stopped eating completely. They finally got her back up to the weight that she was before being admitted to the hospital and released her to foster care. Her parents would not plead guilty to child abuse so they are going to trial (next week I believe). She is still in foster care but is only allowed to be with her parents for 8 hours a day. These are good godly people who have done NOTHING wrong.

Aaron was in a meeting of Reformers Anonymous at their church tonight when the police came in and arrested Nate and Elizabeth Burns(Alethia's parents) and Aaron. I believe Aaron is being charged with Practicing law without a license and Failure to report injury to a child. Both are completely bogus charges because a pastor is supposed to counsel his flock and Alethia was never harmed so naturally there was nothing that Aaron should have reported. Aaron has ruffled a lot of feathers in the town of Kirksville because he has taken a stand against the gay/lesbian community and I think they are just looking for ways to get him out of the way. Please PLEASE pray that God will be in this situation. My poor sister called my mom when she was on her way to try and bail her husband out of jail. They have a precious 3 year old son Daniel and are concerned that social services is going to try and find a reason to take him away. They have been persecuted a lot for their faith(threatening emails, angry letters.....) America was founded on Christian principles but we are no longer a Christian nation. I am horrified by what has been happening. Please pray. God is the only one who can fix this situation.

You are a joke, I touted a book that is mainly filled with writings of the Founding Fathers well sited every step of the way, (28 listings in the bibliography) and because it does not fall in line with the way you see the world, you want to debunk it. To make things worse you use illogical reasoning when you ask, "You do realize that this book is considered nearly a complete fabrication among history professors, right? " That is not an argument, not one that you backed up in anyway. Then you though up four "quotes" from the founding fathers that are not sited in anyway. Do you really expect people to believe your emotionally charged fact-less arguments?

Funny how you people always try to re-write history to suite your needs.

History professors must not care much for facts or the writings of the Framers themselves then; the book is filled with both.

I just finished reading The 5000 Year Leap by Cleon Skousen. What an amazing book. If you are interested in what the Framers had in mine when they wrote the Constitution and want to see how far we as a country have strayed from it, gives this book a read.

The bigger question is why do we allow the states to issue marriage licenses in the first place. Marriage is an institute of God not of man. No where in the US constitution or in state constitutions can you find where either entity has the authority to say who can be married to whom. If we left the decisions up to the churches were it belongs we would not have this issue. In America anyone can follow any religion they want so long as there right to do so does not infringe on another individual's natural rights. This being said, if two gay people want to get married and cannot find a church that will do it for them, then they would have to go start their own religion, build their own churches, and marry themselves-the states have no right to control this.
