It's a good point Ken, and I think that's why so many Hoosier fans are quick to panic: we've been conditioned to expect February failures over the last couple of years. We've all seen enough from this team this year to KNOW that they are capable of so much more, but we've lost five out of seven games and continue to show an inability to make the plays necessary to win when on the road. That's why these back to back road games were so important; both are winnable, and we need to get one, I think, for positive momentum moving forward. The Feb schedule is more forgiving than January's, but it won't matter if we don't start making the plays again in winning time.

Agreed. I can't say I'm surprised by how well Indy is handling the Super Bowl, but I am surprised that so many media members have been as effusive in their praise for the city already. I thought it might take a few more days to win them over.

Actually Carlos, if you re-read the post, I acknowledge pretty much everything you said regarding Madonna. I understand everything about her success, and if I was a TV exec I'd probably choose her too. But as I said, based on my personal bias, I do not prefer her to the other options on this list, nor do I find her as appropriate for the setting as some of these other folks based on her music, where the Super Bowl is being held, and the preference I am seeing from many NFL folks.

We shall see. I don't doubt that she is. You don't sell that many records and acquire that many fans without some talent. I just personally would like a different act for halftime of a football game.

This is a great point. They'd get at least 7-8 Scowling Eltons. I wish I'd had more time to compile a more thorough list...but it could have taken forever, because frankly I haven't one person who is excited about Madonna being the halftime act.
