I think leading up to Episode 100, the EQD staff should put out several TOP 10 lists for each staff member. TOP 10 episodes, songs, lessons, characters, fan fictions, remixes, fan animations, etc. Should be a lot of fun and readers can give their own TOP 10. Good way to lead into Episode 100 if you ask me and we got a few weeks to discuss it all.

I'm sure this has been addressed already, but I've heard several fans claim that this episode has a serious continuity error. RD says this her first winter with Tank. Fans say this is an error since RD adopted Tank in "May the Best Pet Win!" in Season 2 Episode 7, but "Hearth's Warming Eve" is Season 2 Episode 11 and they say this a giant contradiction. At first, I thought this was another case of episodes being completed out of chronological order ("Winter Wrap Up" airing before "Fall Weather Friends" in Season 1). I then thought maybe they simply pushed "Hearths Warming Eve" back so it could air during Christmas. But then I actually thought about the history of Hearths Warming Eve. HWE occurred during a devastating blizzard caused by Wendigos feeding off ponies' negative emotions and spreading cold throughout the land. When Clover the Clever and the others arrived in Equestria, it was clearly either spring or summer and the snow came shortly afterward. I'm guessing every year, the ponies create a short artificial winter for HWE because that's how the weather was when the event occurred and they'll immediately melt it afterward. So yeah, no continuity error here :-)

I'm not sure if we should even think about TV ratings. MLP's fandom was born, grew, and still lives predominantly online. I checked out one of the many live streams for "The Cutie Map" and it had over 100,000 viewers on that one stream alone. That doesn't even take into account the amount of viewing parties that go on each week, which consist of several people. Then there's the fact that episodes become available on iTunes and Google Play within a day or so. I don't have cable TV anymore and I don't miss it. And I'm sure more and more people are shunning cable as well. This is why we're getting shows like Daredevil on Netflix or Community on Yahoo!, even Hulu has original programming. MLP's fandom is in the millions and it's success shouldn't be judged by just one TV network option. STILL... 418,000 is a solid number considering there has been a network shift. I wasn't even aware of The Hub until after I had caught up on Season 3 on Netflix and Youtube. And unless they're advertising the hell out of it on all of its sister networks, I doubt much more people are aware of Discovery Family's existence.

I REALLY think you should choose #5 and #25 and make them sisters! You could also change one or both their races to Earth pony or Pegasus. The episode, "Baby Cakes" makes this possible :) I say take way the rainbow eyes on #5 and give her some accessories. And maybe give #25 a softer color shade.

I REALLY REALLY enjoyed this S5 premiere! For me it's definitely a Great episode, maybe even a Classic. The Cutie Map wasn't epic in scope or spectacle like the other two parters, but it didn't need to be. The deep mature subject matter made up for that. The "In Our Town" song was great and catchy. Pinkie's expressions were priceless. I felt genuine anger when Starlight Glimmer took away Twilight's cutie mark, that's good storytelling with great characters. I love that new supporting characters were given time to shine; hopefully this is a sign that some popular background ponies will get the same treatment. Great opener for what is hopefully another great season My MLP: FiM Two-Parter Rankings 1. Twilight's Kingdom - FAVORITE Episode 2. Return of Harmony - Classic: Tons of craziness and fun! 3. Princess Twilight Sparkle - Classic: Great character growth, stunning animation, and world building. 4. The Cutie Map - Classic: Deep dark thought provoking subject matter with a great supporting cast. 5. A Canterlot Wedding - Classic: Grand spectacle and character banter with a crazy finale. 6. The Crystal Empire - Classic: Great new environments with strong character growth for Twilight. 7. Friendship is Magic - Great Episode: Underrated. Stellar introduction to the world and it's mythos.

It was the first week of January 2013. After I got off work I went to movies and saw Django Unchained (awesome film). When I got home later that night, I saw my roommate and another friend of ours sitting on the floor. My roommate had previously bought hundreds of dollors worth of Batman action figures on Ebay and decided that night to open all of them up. The two of them had had a few drinks so they were all smiles. The third thing I noticed was that they had FiM on the TV. My first exposure to FiM was six months earlier when I saw a little MLP parody trailer for Mass Effect 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Opi5yMn_6Bs . Our friend used watch G1 MLP when she was little, but her parents were religious wackos and decided talking equines were too wicked or something. And she's been all over G4. My roommate looked at me and said, "Dude, this is actually good." As we were playing with the newly opened toys, I noticed how striking the animation of FiM was. It didn't look like the My Little Pony that I remembered. I could tell it was Flash animation, but it was so smooth, colorful, and inviting looking, more so than the shows I grew up on on Cartoon Network in the 90s. The episode was "Look Before You Sleep" and I really liked the tree house setting. Then the purple unicorn started talking and I was like, "OMG. That's Harley Quinn from the Batman cartoon!" Before I went to bed later that night, I decided to watch the pilot episode on Netflix. I was really impressed with everything I saw, the world, characters, animation, voices, and story. I marathoned the first 2 seasons and by the time Twilight had helped wrap up winter, I realized that FiM was the total package and I had turned into a brony. Definitely a look over your shoulder moment. I then caught up with SE3 on Youtube as I no idea what The Hub was and never even heard of it. And since I wasn't apart of the actual fandom just yet and didn't know about the Magical Mystery Cure leaks, Twilight becoming an alicorn took me completely by surprise and left me enormously excited for SE4. I then watched EQG1 and all SE4 episodes as they aired.
