The editor of an Indian newspaper wrote an article stating that he has the answer to American's troubles - granting visas to 2 million Indians/Chinese/Koreans who will work hard, buy up those subprime houses and spend the money. As Thomas Friedman points out in his op-ed article (http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/11/opinion/11fried... there is some truth to it!

Google maps can be used in other interesting ways as well. Case in point, the famous (or infamous) "Proposition 8" in California, which basically nullified same-sex marriages as official marriages. The website, http://www.eightmaps.com, shows the locations of people who donated to pass it (fyi campaign donorships are public info)
