Dear Greedy, Why don't you get hold of jtwood. You guys could bowl up together. Maybe you two could come up with some subject matter that is less redundant and more original. Get off our backs, this isn't your business. Besides, you truly have no conception of what you are talking about.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Boeing, union reach tentative agreement | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News

Wall Street Journal: In a big win for Boeing, which has earned a reputation in recent years for having a strained relationship with its union work force, negotiators for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers agreed to extend the length of the labor agreement to four years. In return, according to people familiar with the deal, Boeing agreed to raise wages by a total of 15% over the life of the contract, as well as to pay bonuses totaling at least $8,000 to each worker during the first three years of the contract. The company also backed away from its previous attempts to get union members to shoulder a larger share of their health-care costs, agreeing instead to lock in the previous medical plan for the life of the contract.

Woodinville, I have been with Boeing since 1986. I assure you that NONE of us will harass your buddy, as long as we are informed. There has always been employees with special, extenuating circumstances that basically prohibited them from honoring our line. Our contempt lies with the people that cross for no particular reason, other than personal greed and lack of integrity. Your friend needs our support at this difficult time, not harassment. Thanks for asking.

People, please remember, this is how a strike works. We have now finally approached the critical stage. The company is not feeling the pain until we are also feeling it. This, unfortunately, requires sacrifice. We will prevail! As for you critics out there that are not beside us, please lead by example. First chance you have, go to that fast food joint where you work and tell your immediate manager that you are volunteering to take a 15% wage cut, just to ensure job security.

Dear Hillbillies, I have really enjoyed your undereducated, never saw 9th grade mentalitiies! I risk my life and that of my fellow employees on a daily basis due to my my work responsibilities. I take great pride in knowing that most of you will never be beside me when I am running a shutdown for several buildings for new construction and/or system repairs. We are trained, we are professionals. Some of the finest in the world. A strike is just that, a strike. Most of us know, this is not our first rodeo. Good luck, my brothers and sisters. HOLD THE LINE!

I liked what "777" mentioned: "labor is only about 5% of the total cost of the airplane." So, with all of this hoopla, seems to me that people are forgetting the real situation. We are not breaking Boeing's back! We would like a fair offer that clearly reflects the level of success that Boeing has attained with our help. Those of you that keep referring to the "rivet gun" are only demonstrating your lack of knowledge about what we do. Our day to day operations are exponentially more complex than that.

Don't be so surprised by the new cards. We have to stay aligned. You should seriously consider stopping the spread of fear and panic! This is how a strike works. As far as the rest of you critics, how do you think we would be treated if we don't stick up for ourselves? Do you think the company would treat us fairly and respectfully if we had no union? I would gladly compare training records, certifications, experience level and background with anyone out there. Don't tell me I don't deserve more. I am curious what you critics do for work, with such wonderful team attitudes!

So, I have read and listened carefully for quite some time now. My opinion is this: If you are not in my union, your opinion doesn't carry much weight. You have no idea how many years of training I have received. You are not next to me when I work in a high risk environment. You people that are complaining about your low wages, do what I did. Train up. We are fighting a battle here that will make a difference for all of us. How many of you will ride our coat tails when the bar has been raised regarding wages and benefits? We stand united. You critics that are not beside us, tell me, how is the view from the cheap seats?
