AddyOsmani.com | Where Web Businesses Grow : How to easily add a Google Map using jQuery and an address in less than 5 minutes

Works great for bringing up the locations with little code. Thanks! A few questions though: - The scroll wheel for zoom in/out seems to do nothing. Is there a way to enable this? - How can I add an information bubble to the marker when clicked?

I don't think I've ever been this cranky before. Fired a contractor last night and brought Simon over to deal with Chevy. This is going to be a very long week.

Not bashing raw broccoli, just wish there was some more flavor to it is all. I've been at this for 14 hours now and I'm starving. Nothing I eat seems to fill me up!

Walden Ponder : The Path to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions

I can agree with you on the Amber Alert - as long as it's an opt-in list. If I didn't specifically ask to receive the alerts then I'd be upset if they started coming in. My issue with this system in Spokane is that it doesn't request residents permission to start calling them.

Ron, always good to hear you weigh in. Glad to hear that you still get together for reasons related to your faith rather than the pressures from society. Not a fan of the 4th of July? That's pretty much the only time of the year we get to see fireworks though?!? Just kidding. And yes, I do celebrate New Year's with my good buddies vodka and tequila.

Walden Ponder : Are You a Christmas Lemming?

Ron - the snowmen and snowflakes in areas that it clearly doesn't know bothers me too. Coming from Wisconsin, it's tough to imagine why someone who has never seen snow would associate it with Christmas.

Walden Ponder : Are You a Christmas Lemming?

You say that the answer to all questions I ask about Christmas is that we do them because we're supposed to, but I question the time when it was written that we're supposed to do one thing or another. My point isn't that people should boycott Christmas or change it's meaning - rather I question what Christmas actually means to you. If you choose to celebrate Christmas on 100% of your own free will, then everything is in line. However, if there is *any* part of you that buys into the tradition of Christmas then I believe it's time to reexamine your choice because tradition isn't something you have the ability to choose. Mr. Scrooge denounced Christmas for the sake of it. I don't believe in getting rid of the holiday, just making it actually mean something.

NewAlliance Marketing : Hottest Prospects: Your Current Client

Hal, I think the best customer retention program is to simply stay in constant contact with your clients. While some may enjoy a bi-weekly phone call others may prefer the occasional Facebook comment. Find out how your client likes to communicate and follow through. I even add calendar reminders to keep in touch with my most important clients. If I don't have any real news to report I'll simply ask how business is doing. It's the personal touch that makes the most significant difference, at least in my industry.

Walden Ponder : If Guns Kill People Then Spoons Make People Fat

Regan, Given your quote (which is correct) the right to bear arms is not restricted to a well regulated militia. It's not a matter of whether there's a need or not, rather it's the principle of whether it's allowed or not. -Jeff
