Rotation has at least been good in the past, you cant say that about hitting with RISP.

MetsBlog.com : Poll: Biggest Worry

Its not about the hitting coming around. Its about hitting w/RISP. What will it come around too? last years numbers? In 2008, 12th out of 16 in BAA, and 9th out of 16 with RISP. There is reason for concern as it continues.

I agree with this poll. I would be more worried about the SP if Livan wasn't as solid as he has been. I don't believe that Perez, Pelfrey, or Maine are going to fall off the map and all of a sudden become horrible pitchers. The lack of hitting with RISP is a concern. You are talking 4 or 5 more wins, so far, if the offense could just get a hit with 2 outs.

Agree Sanchez, its annoying to see all the "Sky is falling" group make a ruckus after every loss this early in the season.

MetsBlog.com : Note: Castillo's Sac-Bunt

The boneheaded-ness didnt start with castillo, it started with castro's AB. You pinch hit castro, have someone bunt Church over to 3rd with 1 out now. Then you pinch hit Castillo to try and get someone to at least hit a fly ball. Simple.

I agree about the 8th. I felt a PH for Castro and Castillo was crucial there.

Such as the starting pitching is better than people have been expecting(outside of perez). The bullpen is much better. And the offense has a lot more potential than last season. I like the bench as well. Things will click and this team is much better than last season.

When you have 2 strikes, you have to swing at anything close(i think it was a strike anyways).

I agree about the small ball. Last night, it was station to station. I would like to see Beltran and Wright get back to stealing more bases.

I would definately give Cora an opportunity. He wont be a huge improvement, but he will at least swing the bat and not slap at the ball.

Since it was deleted with the new comments section(which suc.ks), you have got to wonder if Maine went another inning and we were able to save Green or Parnell along with Sheff for later in the game, how different it could have been.
