If Cardinal Mahony had not destroyed his own conscience long ago, he might actually consider resigning. He is abusing his position and having a grand time doing it. What a stain upon the Church!

I guarantee you that this bishop Mahony is a pandering Democrat first and everything else second. His religion is not Catholicism, it is liberalism. Since when does anybody get to use the Catholic Church to challenge the sovereignty of a nation?

When it comes time to challenge the Democratic Party for their vicious and barbaric promotion of abortion rights, expect Cardinal Mahony to be "otherwise engaged".

Mahony is full of baloney. If I lived in the LA archdiocese, I would be making a lot of trouble for Mahony. His positions are pure politics and not Catholic at all.
