Seriously, government needs to wake up and smell where the money's at. And it's in online poker. Legalizing it would bring more good to them than bad, provided they sever ties with their antiquated ways - excluding Vegas, which has its own allure - and come to terms with the fact that people use money and make money in online poker. They even go as far as to invest in poker training, (for ex http://pokerzion.com ) !

Love how online poker is transitioning from the desktop to mobile phones!I use a Samsung Galaxy S5 - best screen for online poker and other casino games! But I'm just starting out. My uncle, who is a hardcore poker player (thankfully, he wins more than he loses) always used to tell me he was inspired by Jack Strauss. I tried my luck and my skills at it but I'm nowhere near shaping up to be good at it or have beginner's luck, at the least! People tell me to use a poker equity calculator to help my game (and probably up my chances of being an online Strauss, haha) but I'm still undecided. I'm looking at http://acepokerdrills.com/poker_equity_calculator... though and I think it is quite promising!

This is great news. A lot of people are now recognizing how big online poker is (and how much bigger it is going to get). I am looking forward to reading more news about poker like this. For those who are also fans, it helps to try tools like a holdem manager (Mine is from http://acepokersolutions.com/Holdem_manager_leakb... to further refine your game.

Great article, thanks a lot for this. While I'm pretty sure I won't be an ace poker player soon and leave my stable, 9-5 job to see if I can make it big in poker, I DO employ strategies to improve my game. Over the past six months I've been winning a bit more, markedly perhaps, but more. I attribute it to more time spent on online poker and investing in tools like a holdem manager (you can try mine, which is http://acepokersolutions.com/Holdem_manager_leakb.... At best, I hope it to be a lucrative hobby!

Online casino is really the tune everyone sings to now. I remember during the financial collapse of 2009 a lot of my contemporaries were divided into two: those who were looking to trade in their chips for cold hard cash, at rock bottom prices, just to get buy - while the other group, Warren Buffet-style, were stockpiling on it. Haven't gotten around to asking the second group about their hoard and what they did with it now! if you are looking for US friendly poker sites to spend your post-recession money on, you can try http://acepokersolutions.com/US_friendly_poker_si...

Would it be wrong to think of online poker as a hobby more than a sport or gambling? I find it a safe way to kick back after a long day at work, in the comforts of my home. ONline poker is just going to get bigger because more and more people are gaining acceptance of it, especially when there are tools to help improve gameplay (sans the pressure of the watchful eyes at an actual, real life table), like a bovada poker converter (like the one from http://acepokersolutions.com/bovada_poker_convert... and whatnot.
