Apparently in their off time the graphic designers who do the covers for GQ and Details magazine also design movie posters. Because magazine covers are exactly what these look like.

If you are speaking of what I think you are speaking of, which I think you are, then I couldn't agree more. That was actually the only thing that bothered me in the film. That and another minor casting choice of the other person that we see for like 1 second.

Man, it's hard to talk about this stuff without giving anything away!

Jesus H. Christ, this is a fantastic review. Seriously, great job, Erbland! The female and male perspective of our reviews are really funny to me now that I've read yours. I'm the Nancy, who goes on and on in mine, getting wrapped up in feelings and emotions. You're the Sid, who is straight to the point and direct, clear and concise in your writing. Take that gender roles!

In short "holy shit...you're a dude!"

From one nerd to the next, thanks for the heads up, Vega! While Thor was in my list of subscriptions at my local comic book shop, I never fully got into him. Guess I missed the thing about Nurse Jane and Gordon (and the Whale) Blake when I was doing my research.

I don't think I have ever seen anything quite like this. My lord, IT IS AMAZING! When the trees first begin to exact their revenge and one grabs that little girl! Then the couple that gets killed by having the branches run through every orifice on their face! And the baby death at the end...oh man, the baby!

If I bought these, I'd have to get 2 of each to hang on my wall. One to show off the front, and one to show off the back of the poster which I expect will have a brief history of the character, stats and other such information...maybe even a suggestion of a few other character's I'd like to buy posters of. I only say this because THESE LOOK LIKE GIANT FUCKING CARDBOARD BACKINGS TO ACTION FIGURE PACKAGES!

I'm kind of into the idea of one actor playing multiple comic book characters. Who said that if you play one character out of this universe, then you can't play another? If this were true, then the world would not be blessed with Tobey Maguire as that horse riding superhero Seabiscuit Man.

I have maybe, definiltey seen that film and I, like you, enjoyed it. Mostly for the Reynolds factor. He's the kind of actor that, if he's in a role, I know I will most likely enjoy at least watching his performance if not the film itself.

And we cannot have a conversation about this guy without mentioning how much he owned in SMOKIN' ACES. That last scene? Intense! And that's not even up for debate.

I politely disagree about Reynolds. He is most definitely my ideal choice for The Lantern! His prior roles in the two comic book films he starred in provided the only memorable moments or worthwhile qualities about said films. I'm extremely excited to see him finally get his own starring vehicle with a comic book film.

I feel Reynolds has proven himself as an actor time and time again, spanning genres including comedy, drama, action, horror. He plays both to type and against type. You name it, I believe Reynolds can do it. It is because of him that I have watched many films I otherwise would have never watched had it not been for his role in them.

To compare him to Dane Cook in any way is borderline sacreligious!

I highly suggest you see a lesser known film THE NINES with Reynolds if you want to see his vast range within one role.

I've never seen a trailer be more genre bending than this. It goes from romantic comedy to thriller to drama and everywhere in between. Curious to see if the film goes all over the place in the same way.
