Just off the phone with Chet Edwards office. his district runs from the Bryan-College Station area to Cleburne, which is southeast of fort worth, it does include WACO. The office says he plans on one of those phone town hall meetings as well. the staffer said he is going to meet with doctors, hospitals and businesses. I made it quiet clear that not all those people who are doctors or work in a hospital are all his constituents because im not in either and im a voter. I hate the idea of a phone town hall and believe that with edwards living in waco, and the distance from waco to cleburne, or waco to bryan is at most 2 hours one way and what people on bryan want is not the same as what people in cleburne want or need

call her office and ask for any meetings of any kind, even if its a face to face meeting, Let the staffer know that she works for you and you demand your voice be heard. if you donated to her campaign two years ago, tell them your coming to get a refund and your going to support ANYONE and everyone who runs against her and you will pass out flyers and make phone calls to phone in the district and tell them how bad she is

may i suggest that if yours opposes it, see if there is a Democrat near you and call them and ask their office if they support it because you know most Dems are going to stand in line with queen nancy and vote yes for it.

My Texas Rep has voted against the stimulus bill, the cap and trade tax and is opposed to this as well. i think that is safe and im about to stayt concentrating on the Dem in the area, though there are only two. One had a phone meeting last week and the staffer today said there are no plans for in person meetings. and the bad thing is, this lady represents south dallas, oak cliff, and is voting to give the poor in this area even more of a tax bill.

ive made calls to his office before,. he was one of three Texas legislature members who did not sign the letter to then president bush to commute the sentence of Ramos and Compean before bush left office... I never got an email or a call back in response to this either. so as far as him talking to his constituents, this is one person he never replied too. Run against him, or donate to his opponent. if you donated to his campaign and can prove it, demand your money back and when asked why, say the truth, that hes not representing you. I called his office before cap and trade and his staffer said he was voting for it even though MOST of the calls were against it. Now his district isnt exactly a rich district so to pass on taxes to the poor people in his area, he should be ashamed
