Successful Network Marketing : Are You Afraid Of Commitment?

Commitment is certainly every bit as important as you have said here, and even more. But, I believe that the question is not whether we fear it, or whether we have it. Rather, precisely because it is do crucially important, the question is: How do we cultivate it? How do we nurture it? What are the obstacles that can stand in the way?

Looking forward to the book. I'm sure it won't be the last. (don't forget to storyboard the others as you progress on this one), Bite-sized is great!

PhilosophersNotes TV : The Power of Myth - Episode #18

I am impressed by the number of great ideas that come from this book - that I have run into before and had aha moments. I guess Campbell was grandfather to many....

PhilosophersNotes Blog : Got some favorite books that'd make awesome PhilosophersNotes?!?

Brian, You may have to take a decade in Bali now... but what a wonderful way to spend a decade. I have several: First is "Breaking the Rules" by Kurt and Patricia Wright. It's out of print and costs upwards of $60 via Amazon, but the ebook is available at http://www.transformingmlm.com/breakingtherules/ at 9.95. This is by far the most engaging book I have ever been exposed to. It ain't easy, but definitely worth every moment. I would consider it a Houdini feat to wrap it up in only a 10 page note, it has sssssssoooooooooooo many great Ideas. I've already mentioned Richards Bliss Brookes' "Mach II...." "The Go-Giver" by Bob Burg and John David Mann. Tribes by Seth Godin Thanks for all you do and are..

PhilosophersNotes TV : The Magic of Thinking Big - Episode #16

There's Clarity again. I'm not sure if this is one of the Big Ideas you cite here, or whether you just mentioned the need to get clear on what you want as part of the process of combating excuse-itis, but my sensors picked up on it, ACTION CURES FEAR! That's a big one! And you say he wrote that 50+ years ago! Classic. Thanks so much!

PhilosophersNotes TV : The 80/20 Principle - Episode #15

Thanks Brian. The Pareto Principle is flaunted about so carelessly. What is usually neglected is the (cognitive) clarity that is required for achievement (aka: success). I really like the way you bring in the contributions of other great books that you have read and reviewed to support this great idea. Really appreciate your work.

PhilosophersNotes TV : Learned Optimism - Episode #9

Thanks for this resource, Brian. This is soooo pervasive and personal to me because I have been working to make the shift from pessimist to optimist permanent, for years. I just put the book on my list. You mentioned Skinner's conditioning concepts as if they have been countered by Seligman and positive psychology. Could positive psychology be seen as self-conditioning, that we decide on, as opposed to something that is don to us, or happens to us?
