Your taxes and my taxes are paying off those silly loans. In fact, there is a massive wealth transfer being affected out of the middle of the country to the coasts and Michigan/Illinois. On top of it, we are funding California's folly with illegal immigrants.

On March 12, 2009, United 881, a 747-400 from Chicago to Narita, Japan, was delayed four hours because the captain walked off the aircraft 10 minutes before boarding. The reason? He got in an argument with the purser. The event resulted in United Airlines having to lodge over 100 passengers upon arrival in Japan because they missed their connections. From my perspective, the delay and the extra cost represent examples of mismanagent. As far as I have been able to determine, United did not dismiss the captain and he is still flying. I know who he is and I arrive early at the gate on that trip to watch when the crew arrives. I will not get on an aircraft on which he is present because in my opinion he is unstable and unfit to command or fly a commercial aircraft.
