Beerleaguer vs The Zo Zone and The Fightins vs Macho Row. I'm totally biased, as I favored the one's I've been reading for at least a year or longer and have a lot of updates. Nothing against others, especially The 700 Level, which I love, but I went with the blogs that deal with all Phillies, all the time. Not that general Philly sports-centric blogs are bad but, IMO, ones that deal exclusively with the Phils will do well in The Phield. Good luck!

Thanks for the correction. I knew 1 of the QBs enrolled early and thought it had been Bolden. But you're correct it was Jones. Definitely think this makes Bolden starting as a true freshman a longshot.

Do you think it'll be Bolden then? Or someone else, like McGloin or Brackett? Based on history I say the safe bet is on Newsome. Not that I have any personal stake in this. As long as whoever starts under center is the best for the Penn State team. I just want wins.

I agree with you 100%, Kevin. When I had heard about it I was upset. But then I actually went and read JRod's piece. He never once said Ibanez was taking steroids or any kind of PEDs. He just said that could be a reason basically. His piece was filled with statistics and analysis. He was not accusing Ibanez. This all got out of hand because John Gonzalez wrote his piece and then Ibanez heard about it. By then JRod's piece was already misrepresented and everything snowballed into what it is now.

I chose three though I could see four. As of now, I think Ibanez, Howard, and Utley will make it. Utley is still the best 2B in the game, despite some struggles of late. Howard is showing amazing defensive prowess at 1B, something that we had never seen from him before. And he is still producing offensively. Ibanez is the Phillies MVP and has to be considered a possible All Start starter if he keeps this up. I could see Cole Hamels getting in this year as a reserve based more on name recognition after last years playoffs. If he has a few more strong starts though maybe he will get there based on current performance. With Manuel managing, he could choose Werth as a nice bench player; someone with speed on the bases and the ability to hit for power in the later innings. So I'll say three for sure, with the possibility of five because of name recognition and manager selections.

That's no good man. It's a pretty good issue if you're into the draft. Otherwise there wasn't much of note. In fact, some of the pictures of the OMG BEST LBs EVER are of them going after Daryll Clark and crushing Stephfon Green in the Rose Bowl. No interesting Penn State or Phillies stuff.
