You should give In Color another spin. "Downed," "So Good To See You," and "Southern Girls" are all fantastic. "Oh Caroline" and "C'mon, C'mon" are on that record as well. Their last single, "Sick Man of Europe" was pretty good. Really surprised me. Sounded like it could have been on the first album. And they are still stellar live. Zander's voice hasn't been affected at all by his chainsmoking.

I used to send that video to my boss whenever he would yell at me. Worked like a charm getting him back in a better mood. Oh, and according to the sidebar on my Facebook page, more people "Like" Nickleback than Jesus. So there you go.

That is awesome. Matty will die if you tell him this. We love that movie. Everyone here has cooler relatives than I do. My father is a speck on the Atlanta Rhythm Section's live Champagne Jam album. Georgia, baby!

I did like the use of that one Hives song in the Kylie Minogue Agent Provocateur commercial.

He would have gone with the major label thing had the songs from the Singles soundtrack done better. I think it was mutual. Majors didn't know what to do with him solo. By then he seemed to lack the piss and vinegar that had attracted them to him when he was in the Mats. Plus his solo shows were really uneven.

In Color is a masterpiece, I promise. And they even rerecorded most of it with Albini in the nineties. Part of it is generational, I'm sure. Live At Budakon and Diamond Dogs were the first rock albums I owned, after finally growing out of The New Mickey Mouse Club and Olivia Newton John. Was it "The Flame" that turned you off? Or just the all their music in general? I'm not offended! I love Billy Squier, too. My tastes are pretty questionable.

Ugh. I still remember that awful MTV Video Music Awards in which they had The Strokes, The Vines, The Hives and The White Stripes play back to back in this sort of Battle of The Rock Bands set up. That was the year rock was going to make a comeback. So pathetic. The Hives thought they were going to be bigger than Jesus.

Yea, none of them wanted it until they had real bills to pay and kids to pay for. That was the main reason Tommy ended up in GNR.

Whiskeytown's cover of "A Song for You" is one of my all time favorites. I like it better than the original. Superdrag - what a great live band. [youtube lU-l7szkBXc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lU-l7szkBXc youtube]

Courtney Love claims to be in that Quincy episode. Not The Tubes/ONJ number from Xanadu! Are you kidding me? I have it on DVD. It was my favorite movie in elementary school. I bet I have seen your uncle over 100 times. That is one of the first mash-ups ever! [youtube Ts9GdyGD5e4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ts9GdyGD5e4 youtube]

I've never heard this. Damn. I don't listen to half the shit I buy. Seriously, though, I have heard all kinds of random people over the years talk about seeing that Quincy episode when they were little. Back when we had four channels to choose from, I guess that makes sense.

I wish I could remember the After School Special from the seventies in which the teenage girl took Angel Dust and dove to her death out of an office building window. Angel Dust was all over television in the seventies, and it always made people think they could fly on every show I watched. Yet, I do not know a single person who has ever taken this Angel Dust stuff. I think its PCP, but I'm not sure.

I have to agree that is extremely impressive. Extremely. Most IP attorneys try everything possible to avoid court, because they think jurors - and most judges - are too stupid to grasp the concept of intellectual , as opposed to tangible - property. It is crazy money, though. I was starting out right when Napster hit, so you can imagine what some of those copyright attorneys were raking in.
