I could be wrong. Perhaps it is possible to vote while residing in a homeless shelter. My preferred course of action would be to swamp the call center; overload emails, and crash their fax machines with outcries of dismay. If we don't like what they're doing (and we DON'T) and they don't listen to us, we can at least make it impossible for them to call home, call their mistress or their fundraisers and we will crash the entire DC phone network. Would someone please to be kind enough to locate and publish all their private cell phone numbers? I can't call my representatives because their phone message banks are full. I'd love to call in and fill up his voice mail on his private cell phone. Surely there must be a staffer or an aide or disgruntled worker who could give us alternative numbers to call, and lets not forget, in the midst of all of this, we might also try contacting the White House. So my plea is those of us who still have phones, call until they disconnect you. Don't give up until they turn you off. I've thought it, I've observed those around me, and I've asked them "What would it take to anger you?" I've watched petition drives lead to ballot issues, followed by a change in the state law, only to have Big Brother turn around and say "Put your seat belt back on, put your helmet back on --- or else." I don't know about other people in other states, but we have voted the seat belt law down three times and the helmet law twice; after voicing our opinion five times, we have mandatory seat belt and helmet laws. We sheep were told, 5 cents a pack would be added to cigarettes to pay for a sports stadium. At over $200 a ticket, we now may miss the game to go outside the stadium to smoke.
