Breitbart.tv : Dem Rep Calls For Christmas Crisis to Force GOP on Tax Debate

I am embarrassed to admit that I live in Illinois, which I have always believed to be the political garbage pit of the country. I am happy to know that we may well be number 3 now, following Minnesota and California. Between Al Franken and this maniac, Minnesota wins the award hands down.

I can only assume that you were being facetious, and did not deserve the large thumbs down count. If you were serious, I can only assume that you are a very sick person, and the count is not large enough.

I am reminded of Bill Clinton being caught lying under oath, and his apologists would say "It was only about sex, so no harm was done". So I began looking for a list of subjects about which one could commit perjury and which subjects were not allowed. Couldn't find such a list. Now there seems to be a list somewhere of which laws should be enforced, and which ones need not be enforced. I can't find that list either, but the administration must have one. I would like to know if speeding and running stop signs are on the non-enforced list so that I don't need to worry about traffic laws while I drive.

Breitbart.com : LA cardinal: Nazism in Arizona immigration bill

So set me straight on this. Do you agree that the Arizona law is equivalent to Nazism or Soviet Communism? If you do, you are as insane as the Cardinal. Also. I did not see any mention of priests living the live of luxury in the original post. Interested in money could very well mean money for their congregations. Drink decaf next time.

Big Government : White House Caught Altering Stimulus Baseline Projection by 7 Million Jobs

It has up till now. The future is highly in question. The left is slowly but surely trying to emasculate the constitution. Check out my congressman Phil Hare, who admitted that he does not care about the Constitution. I'm not sure he is alone.

Breitbart.com : Iran missile will strike Tel Aviv if hit: Khamenei aide

Ya know, at one time we were building a missile defense system that would have protected Europe and Israel from enemy ballistic missiles. Somehow, in 2009, the program was canceled. Seems our president thought that sitting down and talking was more effective than defending ourselves. I believe that Obama voters should be down on their knees apologizing for electing this incompetent, and vowing to never again voting for anybody based on their skin color or their ability to read a teleprompter.

I am disappointed at the conservatives who stoop to the levels of the lefties when Tony Snow was diagnosed with cancer. I agree with your opinion of Murtha, but it would be nice if his body were cold before all of the hatred comes out. Some of the comments sound like the Daily Kos or Huffington. Please don't give liberals any more ammunition, and let the nastiness continue to be a leftwing trait.

No angry reply here. Taking money out of the election process would be a wonderful thing. I would rather have seen new restrictions on union donations to level the playing field. Now congress needs to sit down and find a way to either restrict donations constitutionally or change the constitution. I don't have an answer, but something needs to be done. Do you believe that multi-billionaires should be able to buy an election with his own money? Lots to think about.

It does not really sound good to me. However, allowing unions unlimited contributions does not sound good either. It is time to find a way to take money out of politics constitutionally without giving special privileges to one group over another.

Getting money out of politics would be a good thing, if it could be done constitutionally. However, preventing corporations from donating while permitting unions to steal dues from members for political contributions is NOT a good thing. Now we have a level playing field, and I would hope that congress can find a way eliminate money as the prerequisite for winning an election, without giving special privileges to one group over another.

If you really don't think this country is moving toward socialism, then there is no reason to continue this conversation. Every year the government gets larger and controls more of our lives. The private sector, which you loathe so violently is the nucleus of capitalism, and emasculating it has to lead to socialism. Private companies provide jobs, and taking away their incentive to succeed will eventually require the government to take over. And please, get off that Bush kick. He was almost as bad as Obama, and your attempt to get under the skins of conservatives by spitting up Bush's name in every conversation is not working. I'm really surprised you haven't brought up Palin's name yet.

so·cial·ism (sō'shə-lĭz'əm) n. 1. Any of various theories or systems of social organization in which the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy. Does any of that definition from American Heritage sound familiar to you? Does nationalizing the banks and auto companies ring a bell? How about government-controlled health care? Socialism is coming, and our grandchildren will be the innocent victims. It is not hyperbole...it is reality.

Somehow, the thought that government-run news sources are trustworthy makes me laugh. Corporations have an agenda but governments don't????? I can't defend corporate-owned news, but one would have to be brainwashed to consider government sources unbiased.
