From the FLCCC report:
1) Since 2012, multiple in vitro studies have demonstrated that Ivermectin inhibits the replication of many viruses, including influenza, Zika, Dengue and others (Mastrangelo et al., 2012;Wagstaff et al., 2012;Tay et al., 2013;Götz et al., 2016;Varghese et al., 2016;Atkinson et al., 2018;Lv et al., 2018;King et al., 2020;Yang et al., 2020).
2) Ivermectin inhibits SARS-CoV-2 replication and binding to host tissue via several observed and proposed mechanisms (Caly et al., 2020a).
3) Ivermectin has potent anti-inflammatory properties with in vitro data demonstrating profound inhibition of both cytokine production and transcription of nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), the most potent mediator of inflammation (Zhang et al., 2008;Ci et al., 2009;Zhang et al., 2009).
4) Ivermectin significantly diminishes viral load and protects against organ damage in multiple animal models when infected with SARS-CoV-2 or similar coronaviruses (Arevalo et al., 2020;de Melo et al., 2020).
5) Ivermectin prevents transmission and development of COVID-19 disease in those exposed to infected patients (Behera et al., 2020;Bernigaud et al., 2020;Carvallo et al., 2020b;Elgazzar et al., 2020;Hellwig and Maia, 2020;Shouman, 2020).

Is the mechanism of action of Ivermectin in Covid-19 understood?
It is a neurotoxin used to kill worms, dangerous to some higher animals but long used in humans in worm-ridden areas.
It has no obvious means to affect a viral disease.
Is the data based only on local studies in Africa or another worm-ridden area?
That would suggest correlation with the result, not an effect of its own.

The US has completely disgraced itself since WWII, refusing its potential greatness when it might have rescued half the world from poverty, ignorance, malnutrition, and disease, solely because its oligarchy cared only to bully, steal, scheme and scam for private gain. America developed well economically, but failed politically after about 1820. This last stage of its fatal infection by greed would be a fitting end, although likely long protracted.

All branches of federal government and mass media are now controlled by the demagogues, opportunists, bully-boys and traitors elevated by an unregulated market economy. The dependents of the military industry and secret agencies are tribalist primitives, whose ideology is bullying, tyranny, and power-grabs by foul means, who are enemies of democracy let alone sane foreign policy, and will say anything at all to get their way. There is no group more opposed to democracy than US military dependents, who loudly claim to be defending the democracy they despise.

There are treatments: If democracy is to be restored in the US, it must be stabilized by amendments to protect elections and mass media debate from economic power, better checks and balances within the government branches, purging the corrupt judiciary and Congress, monitoring of government officials for corruption, and regulation of business so that oligarchic bullies and scammers do not rise to control economic power.

Chris Hedges is always cautious, correct, and well exampled. The “identity politics” of the Dem party is pure propaganda to distract from their sell-out to the rich, to exploit everyone else. The Dems and Reps differ only in the false claims by which they herd their sheep to the slaughter. The options are indeed tyranny or revolution, and there will never be a revolution by Dem gays, zionists, or gun-haters. Nor will Rep gods, super-races, or cartoon heroes be involved. The heroes will penetrate government agencies, police, and military to deny force to the rich. The heroes will organize and educate and bring right and left populists together. True left-wing populists must find common ground with right-wing populists, ignoring the divisions sown by the rich through extremists on both sides.

Very well put by Caitlin as always. As we gradually recognize the highly systematic dishonesty of our utterly corrupted government and mass media, we feel trapped with a madman, and seek some hope of escape, always in vain.

To “birth something real and authentic” we must create a new science of systematically incorruptible democratic institutions, as I am attempting for administration of the new College of Policy Debate, which will protect all viewpoints in textual debate of all issues, to be available to the public as linked commented summaries with voluntary mini-quizzes etc.

Jefferson thought that a major rebellion in every generation would be necessary. The base problem is that we do not have a science of incorruptible democratic organization. All government branches and mass media corporations must be composed of multiple redundant cross-checking committees with rotating memberships, with all officials under strict controls and monitoring for life for corrupt influence. I suspect even that is only a starting point in the evolution of democracy.

Mr. Melzer’s explication of the corrupt US/UK attacks on Mr. Assange is very welcome. Indeed the unbridled political power of the rich, and out-of-control secret agencies, are caused by economic corruption of all branches of government and mass media. Much of the population is ready to sell out to their rich masters, and the rebellious are misguided. The US is already the primary historical example of corrupted empires, claiming all virtue while exhibiting all faults. We are leaves upon a dead tree in the diseased forest of democracies, having failed to protect our institutions from economic corruption. In a century or so there may be a generation of healthier democracies, originating in China, Russia, or South America rather than the US or UK.

Judge Napolitano would be very welcome as the attorney for federal cases of constitutional rights.

I have had to present many such cases myself, and have encountered abject corruption of the federal judiciary in ME, MA, FL, GA, CA, and DC. Almost every statement of a federal judge is a lie, about the facts, the law, and even the course of proceedings. It is literally true that the only time they are not lying is when they are introducing a more extreme lie.

The US judiciary have refused repeatedly to prosecute two large racketeering cases of mine in FL and CA. and have proven that they are themselves a racketeering operation of the political parties. The local offices and HQ of the FBI, "Dept. of Justice", and Homeland Security investigations have refused to investigate massive thefts of government funds by political gangsters.

The only recourse is to the sue the US judiciary and US investigative agencies, with predictable results. The corruption of the US government is absolute.

Of course all views must be heard, but not gangs of influencers, a problem readily avoided. Simply require the verified country of origin to be known, and permit only one identity per site per verified unique person.

The problem of fools believing false statements of fact is a problem of education regardless of the medium.

Very good and appropriate thoughts, Mr. Whitehead.

Of course government need not be the problem if it is restructured to protect democracy.
The Founders failed to protect US institutions including mass media from economic concentrations that did not exist then, and the emerging middle class failed to update the Constitution in their exuberance. Two constitutional amendments would fix most of that, restricting funding of elections and mass media to registered individual contributions limited to the average day's pay per year. We would also have to purge all present politicians and judges, and move mass media to the universities (with adequate advance notice) until regulated mass media corporations can be set up to ensure viewpoint balance in all areas and levels.

We also need a College of Policy Debate to protect all viewpoints, conducting moderated text debates of all issues in all regions by university experts, with all viewpoints represented and challenged, producing commented debate summaries for public access with mini-quizzes and ratings, allowing evaluation of politicians.

I do not expect any such changes because the crooks control all US institutions and mass media. Restoration of democracy requires revolution, which will be many generations in the future, and will probably only install more crooks. The US had its historically unique opportunity, achieved an approximation to democracy, and failed to maintain it. It is a dead tree in a diseased forest of democracies, and we are the leaves. Democracy will be restored by recycling as in the past.
