Too late. I'm already writing my state senator. Not only can't authorities see into your home, but those blinds are dangerous. Have you ever had one fall on your head? Well, neither have I nor anyone I know, but if we can save at least one person, then it will be worth it. LOL!

No, I would not necessarily say that, although it probably applies to 75%. But, the issue I have with the Marion PD is their randomness of law enforcement. One day they will let things go, but not the next. At least the Cedar Rapids PD are consistent in their enforcement of the laws. One can never say that about the Marion PD.

Ummm, "jumping to conclusions"? You obviously have no experience with the Marion police so maybe it should be you that needs to not jump to conclusions about others. I'm not condoning what she did. She got what she deserved. But, one would think that the limited resources of the Marion police would be better served monitoring the speed limits along Hwys 13 and 151 where people seem to think the posted 50mph is about 15 mph too slow.

OK, since no has said this, a ticket for tinted windows?! I think the Marion police have reached unprecedented heights with this. Of course, the idiotic actions of the driver overshadows this.

I like the "sell tickets to its implosion" suggestion. But, we need to take its bricks and build another unusual monument to CR so ot-of-towners can drive by it, scratch their heads trying to figure out what it is, then lock their doors and hurry out of town.

I'm glad you didn't say "always". I think the 1:1 will work well - it gives us union workers for those highly skilled jobs where there is significant value added and lets them keep costs low by using non-union labor for those non-value added jobs.

It probably would if that person buying the house was using my money to buy it. I agree that cheapest isn't always the best. But, I believe we need to hold the supervisors accountable for their spending so they don't always go for the most expensive route.

Did it seem like about 75% of the protesters were men. I always have issues with men telling women how to take care of themselves, like we really know how to take care of ourselves. I also find it odd that abortion protesters never bring up the horrible things that were done before abortion became legal. They seem to always have a case of memory loss when those things are brought up.
