Q: What is the only state to have 2 Biletnikoff finalists.........?
A: Colorado - just saying, it's pretty cool.
I can't wait to see Spruce back next year - what a mentor for Bobo, Lee, Fields, and MAC II Jr etc...... Then I look forward to him replacing Wes Welker in orange and blue (One can dream huh??)

He's a fine young man because he's from CO... He has Nebraska records because when his daddy was playing there, the Huskers threw it 3 times a game.

Take away the 4 turnover and the yards and points that resulted from them and we have a defense that would have allowed around 200 yard and 28 less points. And don't forget that AZ was 0/3 on 4th downs against us, and don't forget that we were down 5 starters, some of whom aren't even 2-string starters... What game were you watching???

Actually I think that a better statement would be - BOTH the offense and defense seem to start slow. Sometimes the O pidgeonholes the D by giving it away in our own zone early, other times the D just gives up big plays EARLY in the game and gets settled in later. The O seems to shine after 3 to 4 series as well. The good thing is: this team improves as the game goes along, the problem is that they need to play with that confidence and intensity the whole game. I look at it this way: If the Offense would have scored an early touchdown and the defense would have stopped an early touchdown in all but 1 of our games this year, we'd all be happy with the winning record that we're toting around... I mean that's a 14 point difference per game - I'm sure we can agree on that yeah?

The football team (aside from the first quarter) played very good D against ANOTHER Top 25 team. It doesn't help when a young QB (and he is still young) threw 2 picks on our half of the field that led to Points for them. Our Defense has lost 4 safety's in the last 2 games, they also held UCLA to almost no 3rd down conversions or a 4th down conversion throughout the 2nd half. I would not blame the D. I'd blame the WONDERFUL field position that we gave them a few times a the worst, most confusing clock management SNAFU that occurred while we were on offense at the 3 yard line at the end of the first half... If you are just looking at the points, sure blame the D. Have you questioned any of the AUTOMATIC 24/28 zone-reads that we ran inside on first down? Time to keep that play (it worked well) but not to use it to start EVERY drive. A team that faces 2nd and 8 and 3rd and 6 all game, yet still ties it up has more talent than you give them credit for.

Hey Churchill, stick to fighting for tenure while lying about this country. You seem to hate America as much as you do CU - nothing to be proud of. You're on the wrong board...
