West Ham Till I Die : Time for Harry?

"Yes, you have to blame the players for their abject performances, but if they are playing in an unnatural system, and in unnatural positions, this is what happens. " Are you having a laugh? unnatural system! 442. Capello played all the way through qualifying and almost the same team. Capello has nearly always played 442 in all the club he has managed. Most of out players are just not good enough or clever enough for international football.

West Ham Till I Die : West Ham 3 Wigan 2: Match Report

Boy oh boy. I read some of the comments on here and wonder about evolution. Serious pits of humanity. Name our best players? Players other teams may, MAY, want. Not many. Don't get me wrong we could sell them all, even Upson!!! There will be buyers but will their supporters really want any of our sub standard tosh? The others are kids, journey men or just not good enough. Also the problems with the money has seen, lets be fair, a few player departed (Bellamy, Bowyer, Collins, Etherington, Mullins, and Neil) all of which may/could of contributed. Injuries to Ashton, Dyer and Boa Morte don't help. The loans have hardly set the world alight, just journey men. On top of that, may I remind you, Zola will complete his second full year as a top flight manager three games into next season. All the comments on here I've heard before about every player and every manager we had over the years. This time last year Zola and Clarke were the f'ing business according to most of you. So we had a bad, bad season and the Management make tactical errors. So what? We had this under Curbs, Pardew, Roeder, Redknapp, Bonds,Lyle and Greenwood (I'll let Macari off as he was not here long enough, I'm sure some of you will tell me how bad it was!!!) I don't get past Ron G. Who are we going to get whose better and we'll be back to square one. If Zola stays I'll back him. If he isn't I will not loose sleep, Just thank him for his work. Some of you need to look at what we have (players) and what we don't (players, money) and get a life and grow up Love Ya. x

West Ham Till I Die : Arsenal v West Ham Match Thread

Hello Guys, Not on here recently, been away working. Very dishearten. Normally very positive about the challenges ahead. I accept that second season will always be the hardest (promoted or new manager) But this evening I'm thinking should Zola stay. Arsenal are good but second half we were shocking. So should Zola stay? Me.

It might be something I've eaten but I have a funny feeling about tonight. I can say with out doubt it will be better than the last time I was there. 7-1. Should have seen it come when the fixture list was released. April 1st 2000. Nightmare.

Celts, Not that I read all that tittle tattle but I when I started a similar rant on Terry's abilities to captain England after what has happen, the missus pointed out that he started banging Bridges partner after they had split and Bridge had gone to City. In my eyes it make it less of an incident. He is still a prize one pillock. Never England Captain material, but who is?

West Ham Till I Die : The Vetos That Will Scupper an Olympic Move

If we were to move and it was organised in advance, I would not be opposed to it. As always though, WE would be the after thought. There is no reason why a track and football can't go hand in hand (Stade de France dans Paris par exemple). This should have been done at Wembley and if not then definitely at Stratford. As it is now we are the second thought. The atmosphere will be shocking and the facilities will be no better than now. The Board will try to move us for their own gain, and I'm sure that will move. As the games approach or shortly afterwards the Gov. & GLA will palm it off to us as the running costs are huge. I'm not worried the games making a money. It just a shame that, like the Dome, these so called regeneration programmes always seem to be a balls up. Seb Coe "Don't come running to us when you want your white elephant bailed out". Poke it!

West Ham Till I Die : West Ham 3 Hull City 0: Match Report

Hello Kim, thanks for your comments. I was there Sir. Chance would be a fine thing but I don't have deep enough pockets to watch Barca or Real in the flesh on a regular basis. As you said Hull are a workman like side that are missing Bullard badly. I just thought that after reading some of the comments on here, I'd been at a different game. You have said "really good game". Come on, we have played better than that and been beaten this season. Don't get me wrong, 3-0, warm glow inside when I left and all that but I will not remember a thing about this game in a years time. Bar Diamanti's outrageous lob! In general people can get very one eyed about these things. They bandy around words to easily, for example; so and so is a GREAT player or what a great game. When in reality it was average performance from an average player but because it's their team or player it gets exaggerated. It's only natural. So all I'm saying is, if we are being honest, that we just did enough to beat a poor side. Job done and nothing more.

One thing about Zamora which he is never given credit for is that after the cup final he went of and worked on his upper body strength and came back at the beginning of the season a better player. All the other young lads under Pardew came back and thought they were it. We all remember Harewood, Ferdinand and Reo-coker going backwards. Zamora, for my money, thinks about his game and works at it. Never the greatest but I was sad to see him leave.

Is it me or are some of the comments on here completely over the top. Three nil is good but performance was bad. NO ONE on that pitch deserved to be rated as an eight yesterday. So we won, 3-0 against a team that was very very poor (no away win in eighteen). West Ham just, and only just did their jobs. Before second goal they could of done us and all our nerves would have come back in bucket loads. At no stage in that game did we sustain any good football. I just hope that it's the that old adage of we play rubbish against side down at the bottom and we perform better in our next three away games against the big boys. If we play like we did yesterday against them we will lose badly. Overall, we look more settled and we won but it was a very poor game yesterday.

There was a funny little ditty in the Observer last Sunday quoting DS. Basically it read as follows, David Sullivan says the culture of excess he discovered after buying West Ham was "crazy". "I can't believe it. The club is in a mess. Everyone's overpaid. There are 110 mobile phones being paid for by the club. Everywhere you look there's excess." 2009: Sullivan dismisses complaints from new Birmingham owner Carson Yeung that he inherited a culture of excess from Sullivan at St Andrews. "I'm livid, flabbergasted. If they didn't do proper due diligence that's up to them. What club doesn't have a few unpaid bills?" (Overseeing the redundancies and cuts at West Ham: Karren Brady, who left Sullivan's Birmingham with an agreed exit package of £780k in bonuses, plus health care, a car and a free phone for a year.) Er is this karma?

Here is a novel idea for the champions league playoff. How about all the teams in league play each other, lets says home and away, over the course of a season and then whoever finishes top goes to play in the Champions league next season! Where do I get these crazy ideas. I need to lay down.

I think Gerrard, Rio, Ashley Cole on top form would be pushing for a tag of world class. It looks like they have all gone to rat poo at the same time, just at the wrong time. I would agree if CC get the service and bangs 'em in, we'll clime the table and he'll start with Rooney. No one seem to be pressing that hard for that space do they?

Lofty, me thinks you are getting greedy my friend. We should be looking to add another striker with 15 goals in 'em, rather than sell the one we have. Cole has progressed well beyond what I thought he was capable of. All this when he has played upfront on his own, with kids or with people with no goal threat of there own. He seems to have thrived under GZ&SC and now he is the big fish in our little pond. The dilemma for him and for anyone in his position is does he stay at WHU where he is, if fit, a starter. He has no one pushing him and gets to be number one. Or does he go to a so called big club and earn more with more stress and pressure to perform. There is also the issue that he might not play as much, and Cole like Parker has had this before in his career. To see the best, or perhaps better from Cole he will have to leave. To be stretched and challenged unlike he is now. This is off course if we don't get two more 15 goals a season strikers to challenge him. By the way Harewood scored 16 in a season four year ago!
