Now, they will probably do little time with no long term punishment. As for the shortage of police, I wonder really if they are so short handed or perhaps looking the other way to an extent so as to force the city into hiring more officers. The city is cutting back, budget short falls etc. What better way to secure your ranks as a police officer than allowing crime to flurish. Not all cops to be sure but..they are union and believe me..union brothers take care of their own first. No use being afraid of your own shadow either.
