We've eaten at the Little Crane Cafe and it was wonderful every time. Really nice owners who don't deserve a problem like this. I hope they can get it fixed soon.

Totally agree. I've observed several people texting each other while sitting in chairs not 2' from each other. I've gone into a coffee shop and instead of people talking to each other they're talking to their phones. People are isolating more and more and getting into relationships with their phones instead of talking face to face.

Was driving down I-205 the other day and saw a woman READING a book while she was driving! And saw one woman texting, another guy talking on his cell while driving.

I don't use my phone while driving but wish I could've called the police on all of them.

It seems to me that another part of the solution is to educate the kids in school as to what sexual predators do to groom their victims. To give the kids the knowledge that even if they're told not to tell, it's okay to tell and that someone will believe and protect them. Yes, the schools should do their homework. But offenders are well practiced in the art of deception, and just because they have a clean past record that won't protect kids if the teachers begin their predatory behavior in an Oregon school. The new state law won't protect kids then.

Should one his "protected" customers decide to rob him or pull a gun on him, or any other criminal act, would he say police officers were unwelcome THEN? Would he ask them to leave THEN?
