just had an emal declining unlock this was their reason why I was given my iphone by a family member who lives in the US but I live in the UK so I guess its back to getting my relation to contact AT&T fo the unlock How boring is that Thank you for taking the time to e-mail AT&T. AT&T will unlock an iPhone under the following circumstances: • The person requesting the unlock is a current AT&T customer or a former AT&T customer who can provide the phone number or account number for their account. • The iPhone was designed for use on AT&T’s network; all contract obligations, including any term commitment, associated with the device to be unlocked have been fully satisfied • The iPhone has not been reported lost or stolen. Also, current customer accounts must be in good standing with no past-due amount or unpaid balance and has been active for at least sixty (60) days. Former customer account may be eligible for unlocking so long as they owe AT&T no Early Termination Fee or other unpaid balance. **AT&T will unlock an iPhone for an active and deployed member of the military who is a current AT&T customer in good standing and is able to provide AT&T with deployment verification; and for a person who purchased the iPhone from an authorized location at the 'no commitment' price and can provide proof of purchase.

If you know how take your phone apart wash it in disilled warer then use a vacume cleaner CAREFULLY to suck the water out dont use a hair dryer as it pushes the water deeper into the phone after that heat up some uncocked rice in the oven not too hot though and leave the phone to dry for about 3 days in a warm place re assemble the phone and see how you get on VERY IMPORTANT DONT WASH IN WATER MUST BE DISTILLED WATER for a tear down of the phone look at iFixit also googe for water dameged iphones there is a very good piece on how to fix your phone I had the link but I cant find it This all happened to me and i fixed my 3g this way about a year ago I had to replace some of the part (the screen and battery) but the rest was fine Hopefully this will work but no guarantee but its worth a try Let us know how you got on
