Anyone who thinks that the Mexican border/drug problem will go away has been smoking too much. A recent story only proves my point. I'm not saying that legalization isn't worthy of debate, but the border issue is always brought up a "pro"-legalization point. Here's the formula for "balance" that all the major media use. You start off with a bleeding heart story of how Jane Doe can't feed her children. Introduce the idea of new legislation that would pay for the XXX number of people it would help. Get one statement or point of view from a Republican or, better yet, nefarious business that opposes. Have a whole paragraph from a Democrat who supports the spending. Cut back to Jane Doe and how her very life depends on "Washington Politics". Ta da! "Balance". It's been going on for decades.

I understand the thinking of keeping it separate. There should be no mandates that are geared specifically for or against religion. As pointed out by someone else, above, a Muslim in office would, in Santorum's world, be quite problematic. But I consistently see a push that I find quite disgusting. I mean, to listen to some on the Left, a person shouldn't be able to hold office if they are religious. I can just hear them, 100 years from now... "How can you have true separation of Church and State if have believers in myths and fairytales running government? We don't allow terrorists to join the army, why should the religious get to run our country?" ... and what's crazy is that people will eat that sh!t up. Maybe Obama should say it now, so that by then, he can be quoted right next to Grant (as some moron above did). Grant?! Really?
