KOMO - Seattle, WA : Will cheaper gas mean return to gas-guzzling ways? | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News

I just read the article, it's to bad Ford is not going to sell it in the us. those people at Ford must be ridiculously retarded. 65 MPG and it's not ugly I would buy one in a heart beat. instead will end up with the 32 MPG gas version while Honda and Nissan come up with a 60 MPG diesel and run over Ford and the not so big 3 again. "Americans see hybrids as the darling," says Global Insight auto analyst Philip Gott, "and diesel as old-tech." the blundering 3 need to open their eyes and stop listening to these dumb annalist. Hybrids aren't the darling, fuel mileage is. the old-tech is inefficient the gas guzzling pigs. I'm frustrated with the stupefied 3. HA!A!A!A!A!A!A!A!A! ok I'm breathing now .

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Round two in Obama, McCain matchup | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News

McCain accused Obama of foolishly threatening to invade Pakistan and said, "I'm not going to telegraph my punches, which is what Sen. Obama did." In my opinion the problem with most of our country’s leader ship is the unwillingness or fear to tell it like it is, Obama told it like it was on this issue. I understand where McCain is coming from but based on our track record, I bet both Pakistan and Iran wouldn’t be surprised to hear Obama’s response which to me it’s not a treat it’s a fact. When it came to the Russia question I thought WOW that’s got to be tough. I liked Obama’s response, while it wasn’t the yes or no answer it was supposed to be; to me it was better than that gutless maybe answer given by McCain. When it came to the economy neither stepped up to the plate, I thought that was chicken s**t of both of them. They really didn’t have to say anything after their support for that $700 billion dollar robbery; they both showed me who they will ultimately be working for, regardless of what they say. Actions speak louder than words.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Murray: It's time to eat our vegetables | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News

“Senator Patty Murray, D-Wash., helped push the $700-billion bailout bill through Congress. She admits it wasn't easy to vote yes” I bet the Rum, and wooden arrows, made it a bit easier, or maybe it was a greasy palm. “The senator says Wall Street greed may have got us where we are” Yea Wall Street greed got us where we are and government stupidity is going to lead us where we are going. "I'm not happy with any of this," she said. "I am as angry as anybody that we are in this situation but sometimes you've got to eat your vegetables and boy, this is one of those times." Hey lady those weren’t vegetables you fed us, they were a load of manure. "If this was just an issue about slapping them, I think the vote in Congress would be overwhelming to slap them. But the truth is that the fallout from the economic crisis is hitting everyone," she said. GOOD JOB! Senator now the crisis is just hitting the taxpayers. But the truth is it’s ok for large corporations to be greedy and engage in reckless business practices because a little grease goes a long way in congress. You will not have my vote when you’re up for reelection and that will be an easy vote.

the whole medical thing for me was the nickel and dimming that i bet is what would end up happening they take a bit this contract than a bit more next and sweeten it up with a bonus. granted some people pay much more but the benefits are part of the reason why I came in to Boeing. as far as the outsourcing that's one thing I don't see Boeing giving in on. when I look at some of what's going on as far as taking advantage of the unions protection to not holding there own I don't blame Boeing. I think somebody took Your Idea of starting a business like you described goto Planetechs.com. your idea is far better than losing our jobs to another state or worse another country.

why health insurance is a big deal? to day it may not be a big deal but TOMORROW it may be. the problem with most of us is that were short sited we only look as far as is convenient for our present plans and ideas. when the time comes we look back we use the old saying "if i only knew" I know I've done that plenty of times so I've found its better to say "you never know" and prepare.

i agree with you on 40% not being sustainable I agree with you on the doomed schedule. I think your right Boeing can train some one else to assemble an aircraft any where. i don't think it would be as easy for Boeing to move as some people think, other wise they would have left along time ago. especially the 47 as you know those drawings are a pain. tribal knowledge rules the 47. you cant deny that. I would like to see Boeing pull off moving the 47 else where. while not impossible, in the future, I doubt any time soon. i work on the 47 line my self, its impressive in peaces when it comes together its something else.

KOMO - Seattle, WA : Lengthy Boeing strike could harm US exports | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News

In my opinion we are both going to end up with a black eye on this one. Some of us are going to lose more than just our pay. For Boeing The longer the strike last the more some of the newest members are going to forget which means they are going to have to be retrained which takes time. I’m shore you know how the catch up game goes; it usually takes twice as long. I don’t think Boeing can bet too much on us going broke and accepting whatever contract they put on our face. The reason I think that is because nobody can predict the future. What would happen if the airline industry hits another major bump in the road and starts cancelling orders? If that bump falls within the amount of time we were on strike and the time it took us to get back to speed they stand to lose millions.

how did you come up with the 40% cost in less than 10 years?40 % of what cost? it cant be the cost to build an airplane. what do you mean when you say remember who trained me? the person that trained me is retiring in the next few years. what does that have to do with any thing? i don't think hes going to come back to Boeing to train new hires much less go out of state to do so. isn't the 787 schedule set back because the problems with the vendors? I'm honestly curious.

Everyone keeps using the big 3 now the troubled 3 as an example of union greed bringing down corporations. The fact is, the us auto mobile industries main problem is their failure to produce a product that could compete in terms of quality, and now in terms of both quality and fuel economy. While they may have some models that are competitive they have generally lost the trust of the consumer. As far as greed, GM is a perfect example of that. Bob lutz one of the top dogs at GM got a 48 percent rise a few months back even though GM is sinking fast. Lutz is asking the government for a bailout he feels GM deserves. How is that not greed? Where is the sacrifice from the top? I understand that if GM sinks it will be felt, I’ll bet around the world. And those GM factory workers could be coming for my job at a lower pay with perhaps no incentives and they will more than likely be far more skilled than me. I’m just putting that out there for the trolling I see coming.
