Breitbart.com : House Democrats win key test vote on climate bill

Crazy! - Companies don't pay taxes; consumers pay taxes. Any additional tax burden on companies will be passed down to the consumer - Cap and trade will increase the cost of commodities and services to EVERY consumer in the United States - Under the program, carbon permits are either given away or auctioned off, with the government making fewer available each year, thus making it even more difficult for US business to be competitive - Companies may be faced with having to shut down business units when their Cap is reached causing shortages in commodities resulting in higher cost The last thing we need is a massive tax increase in a recession, but reportedly that's what the White House is offering: up to $1.9 trillion in tax hikes on every single American who drives a car, turns on a light switch or buys a product made in the United States. And since this energy tax won't affect manufacturers in Mexico, India and China, it will do nothing but drive American jobs overseas.
