Gas stations make the most money when wholesale prices are dropping. When prices go up, they try to limit the price hikes to avoid losing business - but when prices are going down, folks are generally happy to see any drop at all so they can dribble down the retail price more slowly and make more profit.

All that aside, gas stations do not make much profit per gallon at any time. By a large margin most of the difference between the wholesale and retail fuel price is taxes. The .gov is taking far more of your money than any gas station is.

I hope they take back every cent of her settlement money, and then put her in jail for falsely accusing this poor guy. It's absolutely sickening that this gal would let someone go to prison so she can sue for millions, and she needs to be held accountable.

I still blame the city - they are the ones who set the residential garbage rates and basically assign garbage haulers to areas. The city requires them to provide certain services even if they lose money on them, which pretty much guarantees rates will never decrease.

She has stayed away from politics all of her life, and now all of a sudden she has a meaningful opinion? She has no idea what is good for this country. Doubling the national debt, creating more entitlements, provoking class warfare and pandering to our enemies has not improved our country. Unfortunately, many people are voting for personalities these days rather than people who will be good leaders of our country.

The problem here is that any "deal" which is a win for the terrorists in any way encourages more hostage-taking. That's exactly why we do not and should not negotiate with terrorists. I do feel sorry for the parents, it's no surprise that they feel like the US should be doing more but that doesn't make it so. I bet they are waiting for intel on his location and if they find him I support sending a team to get him - but I do not support trading any amount of Taliban prisoners for him. They cannot get what they want.
