We as a society have relegated ourselves to mere sheep. we will sit back and take whatever they dole out. I am tired of it as well. We are lounging around, distracted by our addiction to consumerism and entertainment, while our nation is being turned into something we will no longer recognize! I say the first thing we must do is work tirelessly to open the eyes of our neighbors and friends, when we know we aren't alone, we will be more likely to step up any effort we have in mind, "It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires of freedom in the minds of men." ~Samuel Adams We cannot give up, we owe it to our children and grandchildren, we owe it to ourselves. Just a heads up, look into HR 2159 allowing the Attorney General to ban firearm and explosives sales to suspected Terrorists, don't know if everyone has seen this one yet or not... But this supposedly allows the Attorney General to stop any he deems as a "potential terrorist" from purchasing a weapon, do we need a reminder of the homeland security report from last month???

I know how you feel, I work for a Dodge dealer, and we got the infamous letter! I feel bad for the owner, because this company has been owned by his family for 3 generations, first started selling cars (dodge) in 1917.... SAD this things are only the tip of the iceberg, especially when our auto industry will now be under the controll of unions and this fat, bloated blob like version of Uncle Sam.

AWESOME! I stopped by my local convenience store today, after paying for my things i was folding up my change and noticed something written on two of the bills in red ink... At the top, just above the words "Federal Reserve Note" was written in bold red... "Abolish the federal reserve!!" I was amazed, and found myself nearly shouting, AWESOME! The clerk must have thought I was nuts as I walked out laughing. I was caught off gaurd by this mini protest. On my way to work I thought about how many hands that particular bill must have gone through and how many people, just out of sheer curiousity would look that idea up online. I suppose it is a very small, but maybe effective protest. Just might get me to pull out the old red pen!! Just thought all of you would get a kick out of my story... if not get you pulling out the pen as well........

Apparently, the Cheif Executive of Bank of America is testifying that he was forced to keep silent about the bad buyout of Merrill Lynch. That he was forced NOT to discuss the movement with the share holders, because according to Bernanke and Paulson, it would have caused serious detriment to our economy! can you believe this! Just another apparent example of the Federal reserve and their Treasury cronies using the "let's protect the public" BS argument to remove more freedom from the "FREE" market... and sieze the opportunity to expand their balance sheets all while driving up our debt! Kind of makes you wonder... Who is benefitting from our ever increasing debt... hmmm I wonder? THIS NEEDS TO BE STOPPED! The Federal Reserve is blatantly un-Constitutional and needs to be abolished, period.

This is a great point MinuteMan. We have a cause and first we must work passionately to expand the message to as many as possible. The message must be loud and unmistakeable so we can ensure that we are heard. If that loud resounding call for reform is still falling on deaf ears, then we can consider further measures. I am a Marine Corps veteran and am not afraid to stand up for my country and it's future, but this idea of bloodshed MUST be the last and final resort!

I was afraid that the Republicans would hurry up and latch on to the movement and start to claim it as theirs. Not that they won't! They need to realize they are as much to blame as anyone else, shoot, we all have to harness some blame for allowing things to get this far out of control! What a great day!! Attended the TEA party in Bel Air Maryland. a small town about 30 miles north of Baltimore, upwards of 500 people braved the cold wind and rain this afternoon, cars honked and showed their approval while driving through the crowd which lined both sides of the street and crammed the median. I only saw one person showing us that he thought our government was "number ONE" as he passed but, aside from him there was alot of support from the drivers. The demonstration was 100% peaceful, no sleeper-cells of right wing radicals tore down any property. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed my first politaical rally, I have a feeling this will not be my last!! Hope everyone else has as good a time today as I did!!!!!

People need to stop arguing about Liberal and Conservative. The ideas we are standing up to support are about more than childish party politics! We as Americans have been wronged by both parties, under Bush we suffered the passage of the Patriot act, and being thrust into a pointless war, and now we have out of control spending putting our future generations in an insurmountable amount of debt. Mortgaging their future for our comfort and addiction to excess. This is not about LEFT or RIGHT and anyone who can't look past their own narrow point of veiw, or blind allegiance should be pittied..........

I agree with you 100% was it not just a few people who dumped tea into boston harbor? standing around with signs, while it is admirable, will only garner a shrug ot the shoulders and maybe a ruffled brow from those in Washington. Although I am not advocating it yet, a true show of dissent gathers much more attention, and opens far more eyes.

This website now has 340,000 members... that's a good start. Let's make it 3,000,000. Obviously one person can't do it all alone, we must not be afraid anymore to voice our opinion for fear of being mocked. Imagine the feeling of driving through your home town and seeing the rattlesnake flying outside of a home you pass, catching another as you turn the corner. It's a great feeling to know you aren't alone. Let's show others they aren't alone either! Spreading the word does not take much effort! Get a flag and hang it from the pole, porch or even your front window! Any thoughts?

Just an idea for a new small protest... Something simple yet unmistakable we all can do without leaving our homes. The idea is to fly the Gadsden (Don't tread on Me) flag outside of our homes on tax day and July 4th. H#ll, fly it everyday! When our neighbors curiousity gets the best of them, they will ask why you fly "that yellow flag." No, they may not agree 100%, but discuss your reasons logically, find common ground with them, Discuss your thoughts, and maybe point out a few books or websites where they can learn more..............................cont'd..........

Maybe it's just me, but I have always been under the impression that the founding of our nation was based on an inherent mis-trust of a large central government. Over inflating it, and attempting to make it omnipotent seems like a slap in the face to all those who created this great nation, from the writing of the declaration of independence, right down to the men who fought at Valley Forge. It just seems that our current "leaders" (and I use that term VERY loosely!) seem to have forgotten that most important notion from long ago. I suppose what I am getting at is that one of my wishes would be for these politicians to take time to reflect on the reasons this country exists, and what it was meant to be.
