Pagans might have had an awareness of the natural world around them but certainly weren't environmentalists or practitioners of conservation. We try minors as adults for crimes way under the age we legally define the age of consent. They they are held responsible for those decisions, then why aren't they responsible for decisions regarding sex? That's the crux of groups that advocate for reducing the age way below what it is now. You and I find it disturbing. They don't. Look at the cases in the 1990s of female teachers having relationships with underage male students who it seems consented to the relationships. Christians, in many cases, find our religion just as disturbing and obscene as we see these relationships. Christians also, in many cases, find same sex relationships just as disturbing and obscene. As groups such as us, demand rights to religious and sexual freedom and achieve them, that will in fact, open the door for groups that wish to have the right to practice sexual acts we find abhorrent.
