MilitaryAdvantage.Military.com : Congressman Seeks Vet Benefits for Same-Sex Spouses

My guess is you have been on deployments and have witnessed or been AWARE of sex while deployed regardless of who or what. Don't tell me it doesn't happen when women are in the field and my response is it is no different. You CANNOT regulate that. Single, married, gay or straight. People do what they do. Been that way since creation and the UCMJ will not stop it. The standards remain the same regardless. It is up to each soldier to adhere or not.

Ok I have to comment. I agree with Charles on ID and disagree on marriage. Reverse for retiree. In my opinion it should be required for voting if it is required for a job, a drivers license, or anything else in this country. And by the way, as you two have pointed out many times. What does the voter ID have to do with the article?

Don my only response to you is if you would call your son or daughter that if that was to happen? Regardless of your beliefs or religious upbringing. Don't you think you would re-evaluate that position? Also how about a good friend, male or female that told you?

Here is a discussion. If your son or daughter was gay at what point do you decide to start accepting that FACT and what issues would you have in your own home when they came to visit? We all know gay people whether we "know" it or not. Religion is separate from the issue at hand. Atheist are not refused marriage and yet it is purported to be a holy ceremony. My thought is to possible open your mind to legal issues as opposed to emotional or religious.

MilitaryAdvantage.Military.com : GAO Finds VA Pension Claims Fraud

Yea what I thought. Happy as a clam. I am Charles and have no complaints. 60 years and outside of those few scoundrels it's been wonderful regardless of those thousands of others that suffer. But, I will spew the party line because that is what I do. Ever hear that term institutionalize? It's me. I'm a socialist at heart because I can't possibly believe the government will screw me. They treat me well and I refuse to believe that others have any issues with the status quo. It's just not true. Everything is AWSOME! I mean just look at the posts. Thank goodness I am blessed. Your all crazy about the VA. Makes no sense. It's a well oiled machine and it will only get better. Sigh, I am just happy to share my blessed experiences with you. God bless you. Ohhh and if you don't mind please please ask "retiree" if he could post some "facts" regarding veterans waiting times for benefits. Thanks sooooooo much. Don't worry investigating funds will NOT include congressman.

The veterans ARE getting the benefits they deserve but wait an incredible amount of time to get them. The focus is on companies doing predatory lending on SENIOR retired military members. They are not taking money from any retired member only inflating an already over burdened administrative nightmare government system. Now throw more "investigative" BS throws the timeline for DESERVING vets even more behind!!!! It needs to be investigated outside of the VA system that is already a crock.

Yes moral and legal huh? Mmmm don't forget a promise isn't legal. Nice to know you will support it but not really because deep down it's not right. Kinda smells like something else!!! Maybe you should write your congressman? No wait your one of many and your not special? Well at least in a "moral sense". So if you were to take a moral stance on anything it would be?

MilitaryAdvantage.Military.com : Was Free Health Care for Life Promised?

I agree with you. Fighting for our benefits is a good thing. Correcting the "myth" is your thing and if it's to BENEFIT THE RETIREES as you say then ok keep it up. Good luck. If anything is to change it will come through our organizations and not individual letters. So I will leave you two to advance the veteran cause. My discussions/arguments with you are done and the one thing that I did take from it was to do my research and from my point of view "Facts" are relative. Thank you for the LIVELY, angry, sobering, discussions.

Ok remind me again Charles what it is your doing on here? Happy as a clam and no complaints? Soooo I'm taking a wild guess that your letters to Congress are thanking them for increased fees and possible cuts in future enlistee benefits and retirements? Possibly our own? I know crystal ball. Well, good to you and your optimism. Wish all of the soldiers had that including me. Guess death tends to make the argument a bit more personal.

Take your glasses off Charles. No Myth. The connection is from our kings on the court. Morality doesn't elude them just means they aren't legally required to do right from wrong. No surprise most are lawyers.
