<description>I am a Registerd Dental Hygienist that has been involved in dentisry for the past  25 years.  I am now an Independent Dental Hygienist that has owned my own practice for 5 yrs. I am very sad to see how the pracitce of dentistry has changed. Dentistry is a very competitive business with a very costly overhead which reflects the whole tone of the Marketplace investigation. 85% of new clients I see are seeking a new dentist for the exact reasons reported on Marketplace. I suggest to my clients that they should interview the new dentist that they are thinking of becoming new clients of and see if they feel that there could be a trusting,caring relationship  with that dental office.The fact that only 9% of all Canadians TRUST their dentist says it all. I work with some very good dental offices that treat CLIENTS NEEDS and not the $$$ allowed by their insurance companies etc. I hope that this program has given the clients some insight and will empower them to ask the right questions before any treatment is performed. </description>
