Tell that to Junior Seau's family.

I call bullshit on WWE being unhappy with the subscriber count. They're on record saying their goal was to have 1 million subs by the end of the year. They're over 2/3 of the way there in just 6 weeks, but they're unhappy with that number? Come on now.

Now that Raw is over, I'd say you're right about that. lol

I've been notoriously tough on WWE in my time as a columnist here, with people often thinking I'm "too smarky" and that I "can't sit back and enjoy the product anymore". With that said, I had a helluva lot of fun watching Mania and enjoyed the show a lot. I fail to see how others could not have been at least entertained.

As soon as I calmed down from the initial shock of him losing, I tweeted that it had to be it for Taker. He wasn't the same as he has been in recent years, and watching the video of him leaving his hotel the following day was sad, as he struggled to get up the steps of his tour bus, looking like a 90-year-old man in the process. It really doesn't look like he can do this every year, especially with the pressure to participate in a classic every time out. It would be one thing if he could have some more matches like early in the streak, where he would dominate and win in short matches. Now, he's "supposed to be" in these 30-minute epic clashes that are Match Of The Year candidates, and his body doesn't seem like it can do that anymore. He'll be 50 years old when Mania 31 rolls around. That's asking for A LOT out of a 50-year-old. Now that he's 21-1, he can ride off into the sunset and raise his family.

A surprising amount of face pops, but still an overall STRONG heel reaction.

While I'm not sure I agree with you, imagine the IWC's reaction if they find out Punk's departure had something to do with jealousy over where Daniel Bryan is in the company right now, and the crowd reactions he gets.

Yeah, I can see that happening. I can also see the trio of Cole, JBL and Lawler completely ignoring the Punk portion of those chants, on order from someone in their headsets.

It would make them care, but I don't think it would make them care enough to the point where they feel Mania is a must-watch, even with the cheaper price point thanks to the WWE Network. Of course, once Batista walks out of the match as the new champion, those people would REALLY become disinterested.
