The President that set the record for most vacation days is George W. #2 on the list of most vacation days, Reagan. Obama will never come close to the thousand plus days of vacation taken by both these men. Czars? The President that started the position of Czar was Ronald Reagan. Bush had over 20 Czars. It is NOT an actual title, it was actually a title assigned by a Reporter when Reagan created the position of Director of Drug Policy...It became known as Drug Czar... Wow, thanks Miss Drama! The act of letting "small fish go to get to the big fish" has been a staple of Law Enforcement for hundreds of years! When gun walking started in 2005 under Bush, then it was called Operation Wide Receiver, the thought was we needed to stop the flow of 50 to 60,000 guns a year to Mexico. The couple thousand guns that "walked" under these two operations compared to the nearly 1M guns that have gone across the border is less than a drop in the bucket! The thought was to let Bob and Fred buy their guns, follow them to the Big buyer and shut that enterprise down.

John, Thank you for the response. 1) My "ism" reference was to the content of the Posts being left. However, the argument presented in the article is disingenuous in that it ignores the volatility of Oil as a Commodity and the fact that prices can be manipulated just by decreeing "there is unrest in Nigeria." It also ignores that in the just over 2 years that Obama has been in office, his first year was focused on addressing the greatest financial crisis we have seen as a Country, and secondly ignore the clamor of ALL to review Off shore drilling based on the Gulf BP disaster. 2. President Bush signed the Executive order and it went into effect mid 2007. Can I remind you that we entered that greatest of financial collapses in mid 2007. The price of Oil collapsed because of the Global recession, which in turn reflects a global decrease in demand, which in turn reduced the price. Using your logic, than I can say that House prices dropped form 2007 - 2009 because W signed the drilling executive order. I do find it ironic that he signed it once the Dems took control of Congress in Jan. of 2007 and not at any time when he had a GOP Congress. Again, the real discussion need to be why we are still having this same Oil discussion 30+ years after OPEC???? At what point does the protectionist rhetoric end and the technology and innovation begin? Thank you.

Not sure he point of this article? As someone who voted overseas in the Military, it was a pain. However, since I voted over there in 96, the Congress was controlled by the GOP until 2007 and the GOP was in the President's office for most of those years. So not sure why an issue that requires States to provide the forms and the Military to mail those forms, which can take up to a month for them to mail, is a Democrat conspiracy???

Actually, Reagan was a HUGE proponent of pathway to citizenship for Illegals, even signing legislation to that effect. He grew Social programs throughout his Presidency, including his landmark expansion of Social Security in 1983. He signed bills that raised taxes and he even ratified multiple arms deals with the Soviets. His Legacy, like FDR, has been turned into a caricature of who he truly was.

In a real irony of the immaturity of the Right, what Reagan brought was RHETORIC and HOPE. His one real value was his initial tax cut on the top end rate from 80% to 50%. Beyond that, we can look at his former Budget Director, Stockman and his former financial/domestic adviser, Bartlett, both today coming out and saying "trickle down DOES NOT WORK." As for his overall performance: Soviet Union - 40 plus years of them trying to keep up with us, culminating in the game changer of Stealth, which started under Carter. Any President at that time would have benefited from the Catholic uprising in the Union countries. He gave great speeches though! US Debt - Reagan TRIPLED the US debt. Not much more to say. Beirut Marine Barracks - 240+ American Marines were killed when their barracks were attacked by a terrorist attack. Reagan did not, let me repeat, did not retaliate. He just removed the troops. The French, who lost 10 soldiers, at least bombed Beirut. Administration - 25 members of the Reagan administration were convicted of crimes. Again, not a lot to say beyond that. Ironically, after his bad first term, he went out and cleaned house in his Admin, and brought in Democrats for his 2nd term. In the end, he was a good man, a good President at the time, but as GHW Bush said, and Reagan's advisers are now saying, Trickle down has taken us from debt of $800B in 1980 to $13T today.
