Big Government : ObamaCare Signing: Ex-con at the Scene of the Crime

Personally, I'm less concerned about the ex-con in the room as I am about the cons standing beside him.

"Bill Ayers was my ghost writer I wonder who these guys used?" "How can I redistribute their #1 status on the best selling list? Al Gore's 'Our Choice' could use the help." "Now that I have these two, when does Hannity's 'Conservative Victory' come out?" "Wait, non-fiction means it is true? That gets me every time."

Big Journalism : On a Day That Will Live in Infamy, Rep. Stupak Makes History

Xray, I see you've opened your lib talking points manual to page 33 and pulled out the ol' hurry up and die line. Seriously? I guess I can pull out the ol' wait around for medical attention and die line now. By the by, I believe most if not all on this site would gladly give up their coat, but we will not stand for someone taking the coat and giving it away, I think Jesus was anti-stealing, think there was even a commandment to not do it.

Stupak, a hero? No a hero is someone who says up front for what they stand for and never waivers. I would have more respect for him if he just came out and said EXACTLY what his intentions were. Playing a political game does not make you a hero.

Let me expand on your compelling proposition. If you earn $650/wk and your mortgage payment was $575/week, then congratulations you must be the prowd recipient of a fannie mae underwritten loan brought to you by the Community Reinvestment Act. Why would anyone want to scale back SS and Medicare, they're only spiralling out of control.

Big Government : Obama: Fame Junkie

By declaring healthcare a right tonight we've essentially said that your are entitled to someone else going through a decade worth of schooling, $100,000's in debt, becoming a doctor, receiving services from them and have other people pay for it while having the government decide their payment reimbursements. Why would future doctors put themselves through that? Oh yeah, I guess that's why government took over the student loans while they are at it. Work for goverment for 10 years and we'll forgive the debt. I'm sure this will all work out in the end.

John, the point that most of us are trying to make is that the American people did not want this health care bill. We want our elected representatives to represent us. This did not happen, that makes this bill far from being American.

Big Government : Sunday Health Care Open Thread: Round Two Edition

Libs, Dems, trolls, progessives whatever you refer to yourself as, enjoy your victory tonight. Do you sincerely believe this is over? This administration's power is temporary. Beware of what rules, procedures, executive orders, tricks are allowed in now because they can easily come back to bite you in the a$$ and who will you cry to then? Instead of celebrating, stand with us, fight against the bribery, backroom deals, special favors. Do it now or shut the hell up when it's repealed.
