thanks for the reply. It's corrupt because there was always "exit safe mode" on the screen tab and there was no way to get rid of that sentence. The situation now is that it's stuck on apple logo but when i plug it it iTunes I can see the cable logo. I just want now to have it working with any untethered version of iOS. THANKS AGAIN

Thank for the great thought. The Libyans now are sacrificing their lives in return of the greatest word in the world: freedom. I hope they rebound very soon after the dictator steps down. The difference between Egypt and Libya is that the later is ruled by a cruel tyrant. Nothing in the world can prevent people from getting free. This is what history has been teaching us. What is happening in Libya now is a tragedy yet it's a glorious revolution. It will not take too long for Libya to jailbreak itself inspite of the sad days the Libyans are living as the most darkest hours are those before dawn!

My friend, no need to report bugs related to Cydia in this period of time as the iOS 4.2 has just been released and Cydia stuff is being updated now. So just wait and every thing in Cydia will be updated as quick as possible!

"Could that be it?", I would say YES. The .ipsw which is currently on the device should be the same one that you customize it by Redsn0w. One more thing, use Shift + Restore in the iTunes instead of Restore or Update.

Re-run redsn0w and select "Just boot tethered right now". And then Cydia should be fine!
