What Simple Ways was, was another mandatory tropey episode that was going to make it into the show at some point or another. We've had the dress episode, the fashion show episode, the sleepover episode, the wedding episode, the princess episode, and now, the boy crush episode. In my opinion they handled it well. Having just one episode be like it is not evidence enough for a claim that the entire show is getting shippier.

I don't agree with that blog. As I said, having male characters interact with an all female one in like, what? 1 or 2 episodes per season tops? I can count on one hand. Fancy Pants and Rarity, Rarity and Blue Blood, Pinkie Pie and Cheeze, Trenderhoof and Rarity.... that's all I got. I think you can rest easy, at least until season 6 or 7

"Too sensitive" Yeah, maybe they are. Death threats should make any person sensitive. Especially over a kids show.

How is the show getting shippier?

I always hear these things about an episode being "shipper" fuel. I just don't see it. I think waaaaay too many people are so engrossed in their ship fics that they just start seeing things that aren't there in the show.

Say what you will about EQG, it's doing what it's supposed to do. Just like FiM, it's moving those toys.

As long as the staff can keep it fresh, and put new spins on how they tell their stories, I'm down. If season 4 is any indication, it's gonna be good.

I have to say, season 4 has beat out the other seasons in the background pony department. The Luteces, Kratos, Don Draper, Joan, and Roger Sterling from Mad Men. Others that I'm forgetting. I love it.
