Oh, Ramadan is a reformer, indeed. It just happens that Islam has a somewhat different concept of 'reform' than what we've come to expect from Christianity. In aChristian context, it means dissolving the institutional papal power and returning to the compassion and example of Christ himself. In the case of Islam, it means reestablishing the institutional power of the Caliphate and returning to the will power and example of Muhammad himself. Same word, different implications.

How are they possibly going to stop football fans singing that? Fear and intimidation, intimidation and fear. They'll target the leadership, of course, not the masses having a good time on the stadions. Unfortunately, this is serious enough. They're trying to trick us into a clampdown on free expression and implementing a repressive rule in the West, by scaring our 'leaders' into it, and they're having some success. This is another test case.

I think Reason and Logic are distinct Very interesting observation. I think is useful to understand how Islamic scholars pretend to be logical, yet never get down to critically examine their basic axioms. Fantasy world they're living in. Unfortunately, they got too many more or less innocent people involved in that not so pretty fantasy :(

This is weird. The Islamic scholars seem to have the ability to undertake complex argumentation. Yet, they don't observe the basic Western premise of checking things with reality (which currently stands at: "0 mermaids observed in the wild"), nor to simply say "Ridiculous" and bail out. Looks like the use of basic scientific thinking is 'haram', too. Christianity, at least, understands reason as a gift from God, to be utilized to examine creation and make the best use of it, for the benefit of all.

I think we should raise one specific demand over this: That the Islamic clergy, mufti and others, issue declarations that the bombers and all who helped them are now to be considered apostates from the faith of Islam, with everything that implies. There is no grandiose "European Far Right" movement. There is, however, a wide array of people who utilize this meme for the purpose of scaremongering, as well as a tool to intimidate concerned citizens into silence about what happens in their countries and what should be done about it. YouTube is great for everyone. If you've ever watched Peter Schiff or Daniel Hannan ridicule our governments, that should be clear. Jihad is a question of ethics, too. If people like to brutally murder in the name of religion, Jihad is the way to go. I think some public education (probably from a grassroots level - governments and MSM are useless for this) is what we need. But dedicated Jihad sites should be taken down, not 'watched', by our 'intelligence' services.

There are two distinct, but converging forces at work that make the answer "yes." Let me add a third: The interpretation of the clergy, by definition, is Islam. They define it to be so, rooted in their knowledge of scripture, and this is it, by authority inherited from Muhammad himself.
