You know, if you're going to do more of these why not talk about things you learned as a kid or whatever? They tend to make me smile, and have practical application. :)

However I'mma leave it here. ;) Enjoy your day.

My entire point was that piling on guilt isn't going to make people aware. People are already aware. Always. The problem here lies largely with how its being portrayed in mainstream.

That's a hell of a debate though and I'm far from qualified to answer it.

I'm of the belief that you see to yourself financially before you even think about donating to anyone else. Example;

Financially struggling student. If said student donated so much as a pound, there goes all levels of lunch money, some travel maybe, vital study aids, ability to print final reports....

Another example:

Someone struggling to meet their bills and payments, with or without children. If that person were to donate, what would be the cost to them?

I agree we should be doing more, but browbeating people is not the way to go about it lol. Our world kinda sucks just now - for every one thing we hear about there's a dozen or more other things happening.

I got hacked. The entire thing is gone (though I have the posts themselves mostly intact in word) and all that was left were a few php files with 'Silence is Golden' in them. Its been a great day lol :)

Hehe, not bad. Chicken Little is a great story, can remember telling it to my brother many a time...

Anyway you could add 'Blog disappearing due to unforseen hacker' to that list if you like.

You also have to bear in mind that I'm pickier about graphics than the average user. Its not a resize job; a couple of them just look like they've been smudged/softened too much.

How's your weekend going? Blazing sunshine here.

I like the header, though with a few of the letters its a little too blurry for comfort reading. :)

Anyway, removing the blogroll is cool - nice to see you doing something else with your sidebar! (being honest, I think I'll need to restructure mine at some point too) I do check analytics from time to time, but I hadn't really noticed much from here... recently I've been largely ignoring it though.

Funny thing, I liked school as a kid. I did. I was good at it, no one really disliked me, etc etc.

I liked it up until I was given a glimpse of not having to go (my brother was going to be home educated). From then on I actually looked at it; I'd spent days bored out of my mind because there wasn't enough to challenge me, I didn't really fit in anywhere, and there were only snippets of information I didn't already know. I left at the end of 2nd year high school (was 14 I think) and to all appearances I did nothing for six months.

Honestly the break was needed; I was too stressed out and pent up to do much of anything else!

Good times though, looking back at it I tend to only see the better parts.
