You do not seem to understand the basis of no deal - it is ground zero. We then start to try to replicate any existing agreements that would be beneficial to both parties, looking primarily at our interests first. A clean sheet is beneficial in this regard, there already have been some "no deal" agreements made regarding air traffic, road traffic, shipping etc. You can be sure that if you have two previous trading partners with substantial exchange of goods or finance, they will not stand by while politicians and bureaucrats fiddle. I seem to detect an air of defeatism...
