Big Hollywood : Politicians Share Personality Traits With Who?

The only practical solution to this is placing severe limitations on state power, such as the Federalism Amendment. And a citizenry armed to the teeth.

It isn't an argument, it's the axelturfer's cut-and-paste generic script: "You Republicans are demonstrating you're so irrelevant...blah blah" and its twenty variations. There isn't an argument becuase the intention isn't to argue; it's purely Alynskiite drivel.

Well said, Mr. McCotter. President Obama's double-talk on Iran is no substitute for an unambiguous moral stance, and no amount of spin is going to change that.

Big Hollywood : Lonewolf Diaries: Republicans Need to Grow a Sense of Humor

Steve, I can only surmise that your defense of these comedians is rooted in some kind of misguided sense of nobility, perhaps a collegial sympathy for these offenders. But the decent layperson looks at them and doesn't see that, doesn't care about the burdens and perils of your profession. He sees inhuman scum, pouring hatred onto the objects of their derision; he asks himself whether this is really comedy as he has known it or whether some dangerous lines are being crossed. Also, I think the perception that comedians have become de facto attack dogs for the powers-that-be may also figure into the response. It adds a disturbing dimension to the issue.

"It doesn’t make any difference what my intent was, it’s the perception." Welcome to walking in Gov. Palin's shoes, Mr. Letterman. That confounded "perception" thingy.

I wonder what his legal argument going to be? Politicians have less rights to fair use parodies than run-of-the-mill musicians? There's going to be a lot of table-pounding at that trial (if he's foolish enough to proceed), 'cause I don't think the law or the facts are on his side.

I'm glad Andrew has written this article. There needs to be a concerted effort to combat Axelrod's minions. Enough of this easy-going nonsense. This is war and they're playing for keeps. It's bad enough that they infect Politico, the major newspapers, etc., but to allow them on Conservative blogs is flat out silly. They come out with their same ad hominems, same coordinated talking points to the point of nausea. I think what conservatives need to do is maintain a voluntary "ridicule" squad at these other sites that point out what the coordinated attack of the day theme is. If they attack, we meta-counterattack. Point out the narrative and it loses all power.
