Did you do a clean restore? Meaning not restoring from a backup. A Back up contains tweaks that that are reinstalled after restore but are dormant until you jailbreak your phone. Try jailbreaking with a clean restore and see if you get to you apn.

Sell your phone and get a iPod touch. That should solve your problem since you don't want to use it as a phone.

You did not lose your service. Reflash the 6.15 baseband and install ultrasnow and wait for the updated redsnow to downgrade your phone. That's it.

I have a old 3GS with the old boot loader and had no problems downgrading my bb. It worked on the first try.

Do you have your host file directed to the cydia server or apple server? Mine was pionted at the apple server during the bb downgrading process. Maybe that will make a difference.

Just downgrade 6.15 bb to 5.13.04 on a old 3GS on 5.0 fw jailbroken with redsnow. Everything went flawless on the first attempt. Used a MacBook pro and did not do a clean restore. The flashing of the new bb lasted about 5 min so be patient. Gps is back to normal and AT&T just unlocked my phone. Thank you Dev Team

Yes your phone is jailbroken. There currently is no software unlock. You can try contacting the original carrier and see if they will unlock it for you.

You need to make sure you have the right apt ticket and shsh for what ever fw your trying to restore to. Use redsnow to verify your blobs.

There are plenty of people out there that want to jailbreak their phone and have no clue on how to. So there is nothing wrong with charching someone for your knowledge and time. You don't expect your car mechanic to not charge you. After all they are using tools created by other people.

Make sure you save your blobs somewhere for easy access. Download 5.1.1 fw and 5.0.1 fw ( make sure it is the right one there are 2 versions of 5.0.1 fw)

I belive that the ability to save blobs on 5.0 was not working properly and subsequently no got them for 5.0. Do you have your blobs sved for 5.0.1?

And if muscle nerd did find a unlock it would only be for the original baseband on 5.0 fw and you are on 5.0.1 fw. There was a unlock for all iPhones including 4s 2 weeks ago via Sam but that window is now closed.

No one has found an exploit to allow you to do that. If it was possible you would still need to have your shsh saved for 5.0 and if your phone already came with 5.1 then there is no to downgrade even if it was possible.
