People hate Wil Wheaton for making stupid claims he can't possibly back up: people are angry at him for being wrong. We've reached the point where the entire anti gamer narrative has been torn to pieces by determined individuals. He cites articles written back in SEPTEMBER about how Gamergate is a 'harassment campaign.' Which were, you know, almost immediately debunked. Wil Wheaton outright said that the women of Gamergate who were doxxed and harrassed were... you won't believe this, guys... making it up.
