That is an excellent point. Do we really think anyone would find out if they went to another country and her husband helped her die? Of course not. This is nothing more than a dog and pony show. Great thoughts Annabel, although you probably don't want to hear that from me.

It is amazing to me that helping someone die is considered compassionate among the atheist ranks. True compassion would be to help them cope as best as possible with their horrible situation. And before anyone says, "If you had a horribly painful, terminal disease you would feel the same way." I will just say, you don't know that. But again, helping someone kill themselves is not compassion in my opinion, and that's all that any of us have to work with on this one. Also, surely we all can see this slippery slope this will put us on. You all honestly don't think there will be crazy doctors who kill people, and then afterwards say the person wanted to die? I know I'm not going to change any minds here, I just wanted to represent the other side of this debate. P.S. Tim, that is an appalling thing to say.

The Freethinker : Catholic priest stripped of his duties, but avoids prosecution for raping boys

Nice, I think it's funny how you atheists are so quick to say how hateful Christians are, yet you never miss an opportunity to bash. Anyway, I come on here because while I disagree with Barry, I think his writing is good, and I enjoy interesting debate. And do all atheists see Christians as "trespassing" when they come on these sites? I've heard that a couple of times on here, and since all blogs want traffic, I would think my comments would be welcome.

I should have known you would take my compliment as an opportunity to bash Christians. Oh well.

Not hardly. Teaching children what is in the Bible is the best thing you could do for them. But I'll will give you credit, this is a great piece of propaganda. You all you check out my blog. http://bit.ly/mOTYT

Good article, Barry. I wrote on the Catholic church today as well. If Catholics would read their Bibles this religion would go away completely. http://bit.ly/mOTYT

The Antichristian Phenomenon : Responding to The State: Has the 'new atheism' failed?

I've been ripped by many atheists recently for calling atheism a religion. I just recently blogged on it at www.hardtruth.squarespace.com and I'm curious to know what you're opinion would be. I think yours may be different considering you seem proud (as you should be) of the fact that you were nominated for "Best Religion Blog." I'm not trying to start a fight, just curious about your thoughts.

The Freethinker : Pass the Prozac, I’m SO depressed!

Hey, thanks Barry! Although I assumed no link was necessary considering it was right there in your post. I do want to tell you that you are an excellent communicator, and your work is of the highest quality. But I don't understand why you say atheism can't be compared to a religion, especially considering the parallels are totally obvious. The fact that not one atheist has attempted a serious rebuttle tells me I've got you all thinking about this more than you would care to admit. P.S. The point made on my blog was about the homosexual AGENDA, not homosexuals themselves. If they weren't trying to make the whole world accept and adopt their lifestyle, my only objection would be a Biblical one, and it would not be nearly as important to me as it is.

I'm a simple Christian here, so help me out; why am I the bad guy? I'm just curious because I don't say one hateful comment in my blog, yet all you atheists claim that I'm this horrible oppressive person. It doesn't make any sense to me. But changing the subject, all this atheism talk has shown me what a powerful religion you all really are. You guys should check out my latest post, "Atheism = Counterfeit Christianity". You won't be able to rationally deny anything I say, but I'm sure you all will try. I hope God blesses your day!
