West Ham Till I Die : Match Preview: West Ham v Millwall

"Like many of you, I suspect, I won’t be going to Upton Park tomorrow. Call me a wimp if you like, but I will be watching at home. What a sad indictment it is that this fixture still has the possibility to scare the living daylights out of you. It’s just not worth the risk. Mind you, if it hadn’t been on TV, I know I would have gone…" Doing a very passable impression of an armchair fan there ;)

West Ham Till I Die : Vote: Player Performances v West Ham

Couldn't agree more with nearly all of these, particularly 9. We had a great day out at Eastlands, spesh doin the Poznań when we scored! :) I thought Spector was probs our best player on the park, very neat and tidy - Ba also played well. Keane was a disaster and Hitz is way too casual. Only thing I cannot concur with is Green - he pulled off a string of fine saves, made himself big on numerous one-on-ones and for me totally eclipsed Joe Hart.

So just for the record, 'Ba Ba Black Sheerp' is a 'macho and testosterone-laden song' for the irrepressible Hammers faithful?!... Wtf?!.... Iain, this chap needs to be struck off! Having said that... Cool Runnings is a great shout, so what's a song that's camp as Christmas between friends?!

But West Ham are, unfortunately, West Ham. And as much as we will all don our colours on Saturday in similar fashion, I have a horrible feeling that we may make harder work of an overrated Stoke outfit. (Who tend to play 2 in the middle of the park in Whitehead and Delap - which Parker, Hitz and Noble, spesh with the extra man, should eat for breakfast).... Obinna, if fit again, to make the difference. COYI

Let him seek his judicial review; he barely has locus standi for the hearing and, even so, they will ask what his interest is in not being considered for a stadium that Orient failed to tender a bid for?! Also S.J, the Stoke match is a Sunday kick off too. I'm not sure about you, but I detest those. Yeah sure, people enjoy them in the pub or indoors but (and I think this goes some way to corroborate Niall Quinn's arguments about Sunderland fans), it discourages people from attending the game at the stadium. With work the next day, it is simply not the same, particularly if it is an away trip. I also would have happily reversed the times for the United and Chelski matches. 12.45 is a dreadful kick off time when so much is riding on the game. For United, who I honestly feel we can beat again at home (perhaps not in such barnstorming fashion), the players needed the opportunity to have all day to get themselves wound up into a frenzy before the game... not some early, novelty, flat atmosphered kick off.... ho hum.

Boa will keep his place at the expense of Barrera and rightfully so. TBH will probs keep his place too. Piquionne may struggle to get back in the starting line up. Think it will be: Green Jacs Tomkins Upson TBH Boa, Specs, Parker, Behrami, Cole, Obinna Bench: Piq, Dyer, Barrera, Hines etc. Kovac will be dropped, as will Faubert. The former is one useless, lazy twat.

SJ, I didn't hear you quite as vociferously calling for the manager's head last night? Nor did I see Iain throwing his father's season ticket away (or indeed even bothering to attend the game)... what a difference a week makes eh my fickle friends. :-) Spector, Obinna and Boa were simply incredible - all three were unplayable at times. A complete performance from all concerned made it very difficult to choose a MOTM. Grant simply cannot even contemplate droppin any of those 3 for the trip to the Stadium of Light, COYI!

They also wannid rid of Ballotelli, Mourinho never played him. And they should probably move to keep hold of him cos their strike force is ancient. As for Inter, they currently sit 6th in Serie A, already 9pts off the pace after another defeat, this time 2-0 at the hands of Chievo. Glad they're flyin without him!

Iain - two points of note: - firstly, I take it that you mean we have led 5 times in matches and 'failed to win' on 4 of those occasions (as opposed to 'lost')... This is, in fact, what has happened on 4 occasions this season (still relatively disheartening); Stoke and Brum away and Newcastle and West Brom at home. Also, I think you have massively overlooked Lars Jacobsen in terms of Grant's acquisitions this summer. He has undoubtedly been one of our best performers this season, definitely the manager's most accomplished signing at PL level. P.S The only players who can hold their heads up high on their performances to date are: Da Costa, Jacobsen, Noble, Parker, Obinna (always gives 110% and looks our most dangerous player - shame he can't, by any means, find his shooting boots). P.P.S I despise the sight of Radoslav Kovac... someone please forcibly remove him and his non-existent positional sense, lackluster displays, tired legs and wayward passing.

How can you be so sure that that will not be the team Ian?!.... Oh yeah, perhaps it's cos Behrami and Stanislas are injured, with The Beast rated 'highly doubtful'. It's like me saying, the team I'd like to see us play would be a front 3 of Tevez, Ashton and Bellamy, with a midfield diamond of Parker, Noble and Benayoun just behind.... Now that would put the wind up the tangerines!
