I volunteer and work with pit bulls. What PETA has done to them is indescribable. They've called for laws against the animal and even for mandatory euthanasia in some cases(Mike Vic dogs). PETA is a tin man to most who wish to save animals. They go around half hearted only working with animals when the publicity is right. Hypocritical doesn't even come close.

The DBRF oh no!!!! Did you just quote it at random or did you even bother to read it? This goes to show that all dogs are predators. A breed can be difficult to determine? Where have I heard this before? "Fatal attacks represent a small proportion of dog bite injuries to humans and, therefore, should not be the primary factor driving public policy concerning dangerous dogs. Many practical alternatives to breed-specific ordinances exist and hold promise for prevention of dog bites." And here's where the owner come into play: "Several interacting factors affect a dog’s propensity to bite, including heredity, sex, early experience, socialization and training, health (medical and behavioral), reproductive status, quality of ownership and supervision, and victim behavior." That sure was a lot to leave out intentional. And here's where history makes you look bad, from the same CDC report by the way: "To decrease the risk of dog bites, several communities have enacted breed-specific restrictions or bans. Once again, a dog is a territorial predator. A predator is one which kills and eats another organism. Left to their own devices a dog will attempt predatory behavior. A responsible owner would prevent this from happening. Exercise, obedience training and consistency are what is needed to suppress the dog's prey drive. I'm assuming the criminal owner, and the 2 parents weren't much for exercise or maintaining discipline. By the way can I borrow your THROUGH-THE-INTERNET-IQ-TEST?

Logic in, "PITBULLS ARE DANGEROUS THEREFORE BAN THEM." It has a premise and a conclusion. I'll skip pointing out that you assume things in your premise, and your lack of a logical form. Also I'm not sure if you know this (can't tell how you'd miss it with such exhausting research) but a pit bull isn't a breed of dog. It is a catch all word used to describe several breeds. I'm sure you knew all of that and were way ahead of me though. As for the pit bull "breed" having "the most negative encounters with humans than any other breed." Do you think it might have something to do with the fact that it is the most popular dog in our country?

All dogs are dangerous, PERIOD. Dogs are by definition territorial predators, I know that's a lot of big words, so just think of a wolf. The media and others like PETA can decry pits all they want. Responsible and knowledgeable dog owners have known for years that a pit bull type dog is fine animal.

Doped up irresponsible parent, check! Criminal with an aggressive dog, check! Piss poor excuses from the parent, including the great "I was on medication and couldn't hear," Check! Moron leaving a child alone with a dog, BIG CHECK! Let's blame the dog, not the criminal who owned it, or the parent who was too busy self medicating to do anything about it. The dog needs to go! Why you're at it lets get rid of guns and free speech, those too can be dangerous when used by irresponsible morons.
