Beautiful post, Morgan, dear! That's how it was for me; as I wrote in my Free to Soar post, I was apprehensive of coming back to blogging because I didn't want to fall into the same patterns that I struggled with before. You're an encouragement and inspiration, Lynnette! I love how you said that the Lord taught you to really dance. What a beautiful celebration; and I love the finished product! A Christmas Tree link up would be so fun...but we never decorate ours till early/mid-Decemberish (depending on when we get our tree.) I would definitely join in! I have to let you know, I got VERY excited when I saw that you had posted! I've missed your writing and photography and YOU very much. This is a beautiful post! Lately, I've been struggling with submitting to God's will over my own, but after I did, there was so much peace and joy in it. Life seems so much bigger and brighter than before. I've considered taking a sabbatical from blogging; while I enjoy it, it's become too much. There's such a desire to be the "best" and to have the most followers and commenters, etc., that I know that I start to lose sight of the reason FOR blogging. Blogging is such a great way to connect with people, and to share bits and pieces of life, and perhaps write something that Jesus could use to impact someone. I'm tired of writing for my readers, and I want to write for me. Sorry to rant a bit, but you've inspired me! I hope that you'll keep posting, even if it's sporadic. Your posts are wonderful to read. If they were food, they'd be a big 'ol slice of chocolate cake with a side of raspberries. And coffee. But that goes without saying. ;) Love ya! OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS OH MY GOODNESS...*flash forward five minutes* Your new header is GORGEOUS. I love, love, LOVE the fall look. In fact, I got to your blog, saw your header and immediately scrolled down to the comments--without reading the post! But I'm going back to do that now. :) I agree with what you said. It's like the book Punchinello where everyone kept giving him a sticker, and essentially, labeling him, but when he came to Eli, he needed no other stickers. In our family, we try to be really careful about saying things like, "Stop being so naughty!" Because by saying that, we're saying the the person IS naughty, and not that they're making bad decisions (or bad choices). So we aim for (and obviously, we're not perfect--I'd be lying if I said we were--and especially I have to work on this sometimes) saying something like, "You're making naughty choices." Otherwise we get labeled with our choices and then it can remain stuck in our minds. Sorry to make this a (sorta) unrelated ramble. Love the header. Love, love, LOVE the header. There. I LOVE FALL! You and Morgan (AND Abigail K.) gotta come up here sometime in Autumn. It's insanely gorgeous. Everywhere you look, there are trees from all shades to green to scarlet to lime to gold to crimson to orange to browns and some to almost purple colors.
